Chapter 5 by Zeebop Zeebop

Does anyone notice what happened last night in Sue and Reed's bedroom?

Reed Awakens and Realizes Something Has Happened

Mister Fantastic awoke to the sound of Sue Storm singing softly in the shower. The dawnlight was breaking over Manhattan, and the light shone through the window, wan but warm on his naked body.

Naked...and wet.

Reed frowned. His neck stretched, carrying his head forward to examine his penis. There was a white drop at the tip, and a familiar pleasant ache, reminiscent from birthdays and anniversaries. He turned to frown in the direction of the shower.

"Today isn't my birthday," he muttered. Yet the evidence was clear. There was no wet spot on the mattress, no possible wet dream could have caused this. Someone had sucked his cock. The logical suspect was his wife. Yet why? It was unlike her...

The hero's thoughts went back to their guest, Suzy. Perhaps she had something to do with it? Reed knew that some animals were territorial when others invaded their territory.

Could Sue have been laying claim to me? Reed wondered. He determined to ask her, after her shower. At the very least, he needed to offer his wife comfort and support, to reassure her of his love and affection...perhaps even to repay the favor.

His thoughts were distracted by the sound of banging pots from the kitchen.

Reed arose in a rubbery stretching of limbs, gathering his bathrobe to him and wrapping it about himself before he opened the door.

Suzy was awake. In the kitchen. Making breakfast.

The children were at the table, bleary-eyed as they often were at this hour. Their mother's doppelganger had found a cast iron pan, eggs, vegetables, and stood stock-still in her borrowed pajamas in the center of the kitchen. Invisible knives chopped and threw them into the pan with consummate fine control of her powers. The blue eyes tracked cartons of milk and orange juice, plates and utensils. As Reed watched, the table was soon set, the drinks decanted. The smell of omelets filled the air.

Reed watched, and as the food slid onto the children's plate, Suzy finally turned and noticed him. She gave him a sad smile.

"You know," she whispered as she stepped into the kitchen. "For a moment, I could almost forget that I'm not their mother."

"Genetically, you are," Reed said. "Although I'm not sure how they'll adjust to having two mothers!"

Suzy nodded. One hand touched her abdomen.

"It makes me wish I had a couple of my own."

What is Suzy's next move?
