Melinda woke up, finally having a good night’s rest since coming here. Yes, Caroline’s arm was around her waist, but that was just because things were cramped. She had decided to wear her nurse's outfit to bed; while it was a bit uncomfortable, it wasn’t nearly as bad as being constantly fondled all night.

As the pod opened, releasing the pair, they both got up swiftly. Melinda turned towards Caroline. “You got back here rather late. What did you get up to yesterday?”

Caroline didn’t immediately respond as she perused her new wardrobe. She had bought several new pieces of clothing from the BP, not that she was enthused about any of them. “I briefly visited the BP store for a few things I didn’t get before my night with Zachary. Otherwise, I took a stroll.”

Melinda could hear the evasion of her question and left it be, not wanting to pry further.

Caroline asked, “And what about you? I didn’t see you all day.”

“I just read over Zach’s medical file most of the day,” Melinda replied with a shrug.

“Really? I’m surprised Delilah would give you that info. Anything we need to know about?”

Melinda scowled at Caroline. “You know I won’t tell you that. His file is private. Don’t ask about it again.”

“Fine, I understand wanting to keep some ethical boundaries, but you’re already shattering them if you are considering him a patient, since you are sexually involved with him.”

“Technically, I was involved with him before I began working on his health issues, which actually changes things. Also, I don’t consider him my patient. Not really. I’m simply the only health care professional available during an emergency. As soon as we return to Earth, I’m going to hand off his case immediately.”

Caroline nodded. “Sorry, I shouldn’t have been so accusatory. We’re all in tough spots. I can’t believe I got involved with a former student. Worse yet, a student who is also involved with my daughter.”

Melinda nodded. “After Heather, I think you’ve gotten the worst lot of all of us. I couldn’t imagine having to be with someone my mother was involved with.” Melinda shuddered at the thought. “It’s just so icky.”

Caroline nodded. “Yeah, and I’m fairly certain that the audience is going to try and push us to do stuff with him at the same time.”

“Good luck with that,” Melinda replied, while changing out of her nurse outfit and into workout clothes. “I’m going to go exercise.”

Caroline let out an involuntary wolf-whistle seeing Melinda in tight clothes. “Looking to get that tight butt slapped some more, sweet cheeks?”

There was an awkward silence in the air as Melinda did not reply. Then Caroline began apologizing, having realized what she had just said, only to be stopped by Melinda. “Don’t. Just don’t. I know you can’t help it. It probably isn’t even your own thoughts either.” Melinda was about to ask Caroline to move to the side to prevent getting her ass slapped, but found the words would not escape her lips. Just great… She’s definitely going to spank me as I pass. Melinda figured she might as well get it over with and passed Caroline.

She was wrong about what would happen, though. The room required the two of them to press against each other to navigate the room, allowing Caroline’s hands to reach around Melinda’s body and grab her nipples, giving them both a nice hard twist through her sports bra. Melinda let out a brief moan, but otherwise didn’t respond to Caroline’s action besides hurrying out of the room.

Caroline looked down at her hands, frowning. I really don’t like that her transformation forces me to do things. Caroline finished getting ready herself. She hadn’t told anyone what she had found earlier during her exploration this round. She wasn’t quite sure what it was herself yet, but she could tell it was important for the upcoming challenge. She wasn’t sure why she hadn’t told Piper yet, but she had held back on doing so. Finally ready for the day, she went to resume studying her presumed clue for the upcoming challenge tomorrow.

Zach and Xin walked for a while, eventually ending up in the garden they had had tea in on their first day here. Zach was really trying not to stare at Xin’s naked ass or down her cleavage, but it was really distracting every time it came into view.

They had stopped and sat on a bench across from a rather beautiful display of flowers. Zach saw Xin fidgeting uncomfortably next to him. She held his hand, and they were resting on his right thigh.

Zach asked, “Did you have a plan for today?”

Xin shook her head. “Not really, no… To be honest, I’ve been terrified of what is going to happen most of the round.”

Zach gently squeezed her hand to reassure her. “I’m not going to do anything to you unless you ask me to.”

“Sure… sure. I’m not really worried about you forcing yourself on me. Just… what am I to you?”

Zach didn’t reply for a long time, causing Xin to worry. Zach eventually said, “I really don’t know. Partially because I don’t really know you, beyond what I knew about you as a student and the little I’ve gathered while we’ve been here.” Zach then started to break down what he knew about her. “I know you’re intelligent, as you always had the right answer any time I asked the class a difficult question. I also know you seem reluctant to display your intelligence, as you would seldom answer a question voluntarily. I know you’re bi and a musician.”

“I’m not a musician.” Xin objected.

“I beg to differ. You are quite good at the violin, and I’ve been told your skill on the piano is similar.”

Xin protested, “I’m really not that good. I’m barely passable.”

Zach looked at Xin disapprovingly. “Who has sold you that lie?”

“It isn’t a lie.” Xin protested even more vehemently.

“We could go back and forth about this forever. So instead, I’m simply going to prove you’re wrong.”

“And how are you going to do that?” Xin retorted, annoyed, having pulled her hand away from Zach so she could cross her arms.

“Simple: I want you to play for me. Right here and now, there is a piano under one of the gazebos in here. Then I’ll use a command on you so you can experience your music how I hear it. Afterwards, I’m sure you’ll agree you’re good. Or are you too chicken to put up or shut up?”

Xin replied, “That doesn’t prove anything. Plenty of people like mediocre products. My music is mediocre at best and, more accurately, beginnerish.”

Zach stood and grabbed Xin by the hand. “You know what, fine, I’ve got an even better idea.” Zach started leading Xin towards the elevator.

“Zachary? Where are we going?” Xin asked as he pressed a button and pulled Xin onto his lap.

“Somewhere for you to play, and get feedback that you can’t realistically object to.”

“What are you talking about?”

The elevator took less than a few seconds to open at their destination. Almost as if it realized that Zachary was likely to put Xin into an embarrassing situation and looked forward to it. Zach had brought her to the entertainment district that Caroline had brought him to on their date. Except this time he dragged her towards one of the several shows listing various famous dead musicians.

Xin was shocked and speechless at seeing the city, and then she screeched in embarrassment and tried to hide her near-nakedness when she saw all the other people around her. She only remotely calmed down when she realized none of the phantasmal people could actually see her, as one walked right through her.

Zach was scanning the signs for a name he actually recognized when he finally found what he was looking for. Xin didn’t see the sign for the building as Zach pulled her inside behind him. They were in the lobby of a concert hall and could hear soulful music with a woman’s voice accompanying it. They couldn’t make it out very well in the lobby over the music.

Xin exclaimed, “ZACHARY! What are we doing!?”

Zach paused for a moment and pointed to a sign. ‘Free entry and backstage access after the show to Harem Hotel: Host, Guests, Master, and Contestants. Staff must pay. This means you, Pita!’ “I’ve brought you to someone who can judge your music, and when she says it’s good, you’ll have no room to object. In the meantime, we can take in a concert together. We get front row seats too. After the show, we’ll go backstage.”

Zach took her hand again and led her inside just as she was asking, “Who even is playing?”

The doors opened automatically as they approached the concert hall. As the door opened, they heard the powerful, smoky voice of the singer belt out, “R-E-S-P-E-C-T. Find out what it means to me. R-E-S-P-E-C-T. Take care, TCB.” No one paid any attention to them even as Zach led Xin to the front row, flashing all the other patrons.

Xin couldn’t help but scan the crowd, and she noticed a few of the seats weren’t filled with spectral people, but with various supernatural creatures. Two red-skinned demons that were larger than Pita, but smaller than Delilah, that seemed to be on a date. A massive blob-like entity that undulated up and down in time with the beat. Finally, she was fairly certain the last one was an actual angel. At least she was fairly certain it was an angel. She remembered seeing pictures online of biblically accurate angels, and this one was like the one with a bunch of concentric rings floating around a massive eye, with each ring covered in eyes. How does it listen? It doesn’t have ears…

Zach finally got to a pair of open seats in the front row that said they were reserved for them. Xin felt a bit self-conscious wearing only the frilly apron, especially when she saw the singer seemed to be more substantial than the other spectral beings. She was a ghost, yes, but more like Caldwell was.

She continued to be nervous, but she allowed herself to relax and enjoy the performance as it continued. Even leaning her head to the side and rested it on Zach’s shoulder. He put his arm around her shoulders. The two spent nearly two hours enjoying the music. When the performance finally came to an end. There was an announcement about backstage guests being permitted to head there now.

Zach nudged Xin until she started walking backstage to talk with the singer. When they got backstage, Xin hid behind Zach when the singer turned towards them. Zach said, “Ms. Franklin, the show was wonderful.”

Ms. Franklin turned towards the two. “Why thank you, dear, and who’s this sweet young thing behind you?”

Xin went beet red as the attention turned towards her.

Ms. Franklin continued, “Don’t you worry, honey. I’ve caught a little bit of your show. Believe me, child, you’re nowhere near the strangest thing I’ve come across since I passed on over.”

Xin peeked out from behind Zach. “Really?”

The singer nodded. “Yes, honey.”

Xin stepped out from behind Zach but still wouldn’t meet the singer’s eyes.

Zach said, “Her name is Xin, and I’m Zachary. I’ll be honest, I’m a little surprised you’re here.”

Ms. Franklin chuckled, “Didn’t think the Queen went to the wrong place, did you? No, darling, not at all. You might have noticed an angel in the audience. This is sort of a supernatural crossroads of sorts.”

“Oh, sorry, I didn’t mean to assume,” Zach said awkwardly.

The singer floated over to the pair of them and patted Zach softly on the cheek. “You didn’t mean a thing by it, young man. Now, did you come looking for an autograph, or is there something else on your mind? Usually when folks like you wander back here, it’s one or the other.”

Xin started shrinking behind Zach again. Zach said, “You’re right, and while I wouldn’t mind an autographed photo, I’d like your opinion on something.”

“Ask away; I’ve got eternity.”

Zach gestured to the now-hiding Xin. “She has a… major confidence issue regarding her music. Could you listen to her play and give her your honest feedback? She doesn’t believe me or any of the other contestants that she’s actually skilled.”

The singer nodded, “All right, but on one condition: young man, you take yourself on out to the lobby for a minute.” Xin got pulled towards the piano on stage, with Zach waving bye after her. When Xin objected because of the time issue if she wasn’t with Zach, Ms. Franklin just said, “Now, don’t you worry, dear, we’ll have you back to your man in no time.” Zach went to wait in the lobby and could faintly hear Xin playing music. After about two songs, a faceless attendant came to wordlessly fetch him. He was instructed to sit in the front row again, and Xin began to play again. He felt the buildup from her Crescendo transformation starting, and when she finished, he got an image in his mind of himself bending Xin over, face first, against a counter, and fucking her from behind in the apron she was currently wearing, and she was begging for him to go harder.

Zach was breathing heavily and felt the tightness in his pants. Holy crap, that was intense. I really need to ask if these are her thoughts or fantasies, or something Delilah is doing to mess with me.

Zach was pulled out of his thoughts as he was invited to join them on stage.

Ms. Franklin said, “Now, as far as the notes go? You were right. She’s gifted, no question about it.”

Zach could hear the but forming: “Buuuut?”

“But she was playing without any soul in it. At least, not until you walked back into the room. Once you were sitting out there, the music started breathing. It ain't perfect yet, but the spirit is there. Little missy, you’ve got real talent, and you need to own it. Zachary here isn't just feeding you sweet talk because he’s got his eye on you—he's telling you the truth.”

Xin quietly said, “Umm… thank you.” It was clear that Xin felt incredibly awkward about the entire situation but also very happy to receive her fellow musician’s praise.

Ms. Franklin then handed them each a signed photo of her from her younger days. “I must be off now. I wish you both the best.” Then she vanished on the spot.

Zach stood there and smugly stared at Xin. “So, you willing to accept you don’t suck?”

Xin looked up at Zach, and he could see she really wanted to believe it was true. “But… what if she was just being nice? And you heard her; I have no soul to my music.”

Zach groaned as he rubbed a hand over his face. “No, she said you didn’t have it when you were just showing her, but when you were performing, it was there. You don’t have to be perfect, Xin; in fact, that sometimes makes the music better when it isn’t perfect.” Zach sat on the piano bench next to her. “Why do you feel like you aren’t good?”

“Well… that’s what I’ve always been told. That I was second-rate at best.”

“Well, whoever told you that is full of shit.”

“I’d prefer you not talk about my parents like that,” Xin said defensively.

“Well then maybe they should have been more supportive of their extremely talented daughter. Because if I hear anyone saying you aren’t talented, that is going to be my response. That or ‘Are you tone deaf’ or ‘I see you have no taste’. At least something along those lines. I don’t care if they are your parents or not. I didn’t care for Heather’s parents either for being overbearing pricks, and told them to mind their own business when they asked if and when we were having kids, or why Heather was still bothering to work.”

Xin’s eyebrow quirked up. “Wait, why was she so resentful of you then if you were supportive of her?”

“I don’t know. I knew her parents’ pressure on her was an issue and tried to be supportive, but whenever I asked about it, she would always say something like, ‘It’s nothing really, just my parents being my parents again,’ and tell me not to worry about it.”

“Did you really just drop it after she told you that?”

“No, I would ask what specifically they said, and try to be supportive.” Zach’s mood was souring as they continued on this topic, and Xin could tell.

“Maybe we should talk about something else. It probably isn’t great to talk to me, of all people, about her.” That was when Xin noticed Zach’s massive hard-on. “Um… did I give you that?” Xin pointed at his pants.

Zach nodded, “Yeah… maybe we should get going, as I see people filing in for another show.” The two left the theater and started walking towards the elevator to take them back to the hotel. “I wanted to ask you something about your transformation.”

Xin cocked her head upwards to look at him while still holding onto his arm. “Oh, what?”

“Well… I got a… vision, I guess is the best way to describe it. I was wondering if it was actually something you want, or at least have fantasized about.”

“I see…” Xin said embarrassedly. “Maybe we can wait to talk about it until we get back to your room. I also wouldn’t mind just spending the rest of the afternoon and evening there.”

The elevator ride to the suite wasn’t smooth or short. Xin didn’t sit on his lap this time as he still had an erection in his pants and she had no underwear on. Instead, she sat next to him and let him wrap his arm around her. The elevator bounced them around worse than an old wooden rollercoaster. It wasn’t until a sudden turn flung them off the couch and onto the floor of the elevator, with Xin landing on top of Zach’s waist, that it stopped lurching from side to side. It did start vibrating, causing Xin to effectively dry hump Zach for more than a minute, before the door finally opened.

Both were rather horny as they stepped off the elevator and moved to the suite. As soon as they shut the door, Xin pulled Zach into a kiss and towards the bed. Zach grabbed her by the waist to stop her movement across the room, but didn’t stop kissing her for some time. Eventually he asked, “Can we talk before doing more?”

“Sure…” Xin let out while panting. “But right now I do want more. So if we could keep it brief.”

Zach slowly guided her towards the bed and lay atop the covers, pulling Xin into a cuddling position where her head was on his shoulder, as he rested his back against the headboard. Zach said, “First, I know this might be embarrassing, but I would really appreciate your honesty about this. I’ve gotten some flashes of things in my mind when you play. It almost always involves you and me, and sometimes another person. I’d like to describe a few instances and then have you tell me if these are things you have fantasized about or might actually enjoy.”

“Okay…” Xin replied, clearly uncertain about this.

Zach went on to describe each instance of when he listened to her play for him. When he finished, she said, “Um…” God, this is embarrassing. “Yes. I have thought about those things while horny, even if briefly. I’m not sure I would actually want them to happen, but I have thought about them in a positive light.”

“For instance, you don’t actually want me to pin you against the dining room table and fuck you from behind?” Zach asked, semi-rhetorically.

“Not right now. Even if I am really horny still.” Xin was breathing heavily. “Why isn’t my arousal going down? We made out for a while, and I was essentially humping you in the elevator.”

Zach had been stroking her arm affectionately, and he looked at her, slightly confused. “Why would it be going down? You’ve hardly got anything on, you’re cuddling with a man, and talking about arousing ideas.”

Xin opened and closed her mouth a few times. “That… do you think it will lower eventually?”

“Not sure, but from before, it seems like if you’re intimate with me, an equal amount of arousal as whatever you’re doing is essentially unlocked and can dissipate naturally,” Zach answered. “You could be left frustrated for a while, though, if we just fool around a bit and that gets you naturally revved up.

Xin slipped her hand up under Zach’s shirt. “Would… if… If I wanted something tonight from you, would that be okay?”

Zach looked down curiously at Xin. “That depends on what you’re asking about, but if you mean sex…” Zach paused, not immediately certain if he was comfortable with that. “Maybe, but you should know Lynn informed me none of you are on birth control anymore. She found out from Pita.”

Xin sat upright and whipped her head around to stare at Zach wide-eyed. “You’re joking, right? Tell me you’re joking.” Zach shook his head, and he could see Xin’s mind was clearly racing through several possibilities. When she finally came to some sort of conclusion, she let out a long, slow breath. “Okay, well, that changes things a little. And I guess that answers the question about my arousal, as that fright just killed a lot of it.” Xin got up and went to the couches.

Zach got the message that any sort of sexy time was going to at least be delayed until later. He got up and asked, “Do you want anything to drink or snack on?”

“Yes to both.”

Zach nodded and came out with a tray of things, including a pitcher of lemonade, two glasses, a veggie dip spread with three types of dip, and nachos and cheese.

Xin asked, “Did you just have this ready?”

“Not really. Anything that doesn’t require cooking I can essentially just think of, and it appears in either the fridge or pantry. Even the nacho cheese came out hot because I wanted it to. The only exceptions are full meals where one of you or I has to cook.”

“That’s an odd distinction,” Xin commented, grabbing a carrot and dipping it in the ranch.

“I’m certain it’s to punish Heather. I have had more takeout and frozen dinners over the last year than I care to admit to. Neither of those are options anymore. I think Delilah is hoping that by forcing the issue on any hot meals, I’ll make use of Heather as my personal servant.”

Xin frowned. “Meaning one of us has to cook tonight, or Heather will?”

Zach nodded. “Essentially, and I’m not going to have the energy to cook literally every single night for whoever is up here. So, I’ve accepted that Heather is going to wind up cooking sometimes. I’m just not going to go out of my way to force her to either.” At least most of the time. I mustn’t let Lynn ever cook for me again. Ever. “If you don’t want to cook, I can make something tonight.”

“I would appreciate that.” Xin let out a relieved sigh. “I think Heather would, too. That’s actually something I wanted to ask you about. I know what Delilah expects of me, but what are you expecting of me? What do you want from me?”

“I wish I had an easy answer to that. I’m sure Lynn wishes I did, too.”

“Okay, would you be willing to listen to where I’m at, and not interrupt unless I ask you a direct question or tell you I’m done first?”

“Sure,” Zach replied and mimed sealing his lips and locking them shut.

Xin chuckled. “First, I want to tell you a bit about me for context. You’ve already deduced my parents are rather strict and overbearing. I was born American, but neither of them was. They immigrated because they wanted a larger family, and the laws in China at the time would prevent that. They did not end up getting what they wanted.”

Xin took a moment to compose herself as the next bit seemed difficult for her to deal with. She took a few small bites of food and sipped her drink.

“I’m their sixth and youngest child. However, I never got to know most of my siblings.”

Xin just let the statement hang in the air for a while, and she saw sympathy on Zach’s face.

“My older brother was their perfect son. Good grades, great at sports, got into med school. It’s hard to live up to that, especially when your parents don’t want you to excel in the same ways. They wanted me to go to college to get a Mrs. degree, or become a nurse or teacher. Not a doctor like my brother is working on, but a nurse.”

Zach looked like he wanted to ask a question but kept quiet.

Xin said, “What is it you want to ask?”

“I was wondering why you went into Computer Science, then. Was it rebellion?”

“A little, but they were actually rather supportive after I got valedictorian in high school because I took some extra computer science courses and got As in them. The fact that I maintained a 4.0 GPA once I was at the university also shut them up. That, and they said I could always meet a tech million- or billionaire. When that didn’t happen… well, they weren’t too pleased. From how you described Heather’s parents, mine sound very similar. When… when what happened with Heather… I’m not sure if you were aware, but I was offered the chance to withdraw from classes for the semester. I didn’t for the rest of my courses, but the other professor advised me it would be prudent if I did. Otherwise, it was likely my grades would tank.”

Xin was clearly struggling to tell this story, but Zach simply let her continue at her own pace, knowing this might be the first time she had actually told anyone this.

“My parents wanted to know why I dropped a class. When the school stonewalled them, because I’m an adult, they demanded the answers from me instead. I tried to deflect, without outright lying. They didn’t take that well. Not because they didn’t believe me, but because they went back to the school with lawyers accusing the school of covering up your misdeeds. As soon as that happened, I knew I had to simply tell them the truth, because it wouldn’t be fair to you, after I had already destroyed your marriage.” Zach was about to interrupt, but Xin raised a hand to stop him. “I know you said it wasn’t my fault, but that’s how it felt to me at the time.”

Xin started munching on a piece of celery to give herself some time to think. After a bit of stalling, she continued, “When they found out I had slept with a woman, they were furious and ashamed. They gave me a choice: move back home and live by their rules, or they would disown me.” Zach frowned at hearing that. “They allowed me to continue to pursue my degree, as I think they realized if they took that away from me, I would have simply walked away from them. But things changed. They weren’t simply paying for me to get my degree anymore. They were giving me an interest-free loan, which I would have to repay after I graduated, and if I didn’t start making payments within a year, it would start accruing interest. They said they would simply gift me the loan as part of a wedding present if I settled down with a nice, successful man. They also insisted that I go on at least one date a month with someone of their choice.”

Zach raised his hand.

Xin couldn’t help bursting out laughing at the situation of her former professor raising his hand for her permission to ask a question. “Sorry, what is it, Zachary?” She covered her mouth, trying to contain her laughter.

Zach said, “I’m not sure what’s so funny, but I wanted to make a correction about a comparison you made. You said your parents were similar to Heather’s. They aren’t. While her parents are a little bit sexist and overbearing, they would never have pulled shit like what you described. Even after Heather cheated on me with you, and they were PISSED about that, they still let her stay with them until we figured out living arrangements. I don’t know everything, but I know her father’s opinion was essentially: She was a fucking idiot and threw away her chance with a decent man, but she was still his daughter, and even though he was disappointed in her, he would still try to help her get back on her feet. Even her mother and sisters, who I heard were far harsher about the entire thing, didn’t try to blackmail her.”

“It wasn’t blackmail,” Xin said defensively.

Zach rolled his eyes. “Fine, extortion then, and what you just described was definitely extortion.”

“Whatever. Anyway, where was I? Oh yes, the regular dates. My parents were getting more and more insistent towards the end of my junior year. I’m fairly certain they were going to push me to accept an arranged marriage to the son of one of their friends, who is going to be taking the bar exam in a few months.” Xin let out a long, slow breath. “Okay, now that was the context. You wouldn’t expect me to be a housewife for you, would you?”

“Absolutely not,” Zach replied without hesitation.

“We’re obviously going to be sexually involved, which is kind of weird. If I wanted more, are you open to that?”

Zach asked, clearly unsure, “You mean, romantically? As a second girlfriend?”

“Yes, but even if not that. I mean… what if I want children someday?”

“I’m not sure about both parts of your question.” Zach replied, “I’ll give you the same chance I’m giving the others, but you don’t have to earn it, because you haven’t done anything wrong to me. I don’t know about kids anymore. I wanted them… but now I’m not so sure. Especially because of how messed up my life is going to be after all this.”

Xin nodded. “Thank you, I’m glad to hear that.” Xin stood up and moved over to Zachary and straddled his lap. A hand slipped around her back and pulled on the strings, causing her apron to fall to the floor. “In that case, Professor, I’d love a hands-on lesson, but please be gentle.”

Zachary gulped as he stared at the now-naked woman straddling his lap and her hand that was moving to unzip his pants. Zachary thought, Fuck it, might as well enjoy the ride when I can. Zach pulled Xin’s body close against his as their lips met.

He let the young woman set her own pace, which was far faster than he had expected. She was tugging at his pants within moments, so he reached down to assist in removing them. His underwear came off at the same time. Xin straightened her back and was up on her knees, putting her head above Zach’s. She reached down and grabbed both sides of his face as she kissed him.

Zach slid his free hand between Xin’s legs and found her incredibly wet and eager as he slipped his fingers inside of her. She moaned with pleasure as she bit down on his lip. Then she slowly lowered herself. When she was just over his cock, Zach pulled out his fingers and gently placed his hands on each of her butt cheeks. Zach guided her down onto him slowly, and it wasn’t until he was fully engulfed by her that they did more.

Xin rocked back and forth on his lap, putting her arms around him and arching her back away, letting him support her with an arm around her waist. He leaned forward and, with a flick of his tongue, began to tease her pert nipples. He found her small, perky breasts a joy to play with as she continued to lose herself in pleasure.

Her speed kept increasing, despite her request for this to be gentle. Zach pulled her body against his and heard her whispering to herself, “Yes, yes, yes… oh god.” He slid his hand up her neck and into her hair, grabbed the back of her head, and pushed their lips together as he shoved his tongue into her mouth. Causing pleasurable yet surprised moans at the sudden action. She eagerly reciprocated, both grabbing onto his hair and using her tongue.

Zach only pulled his lips away to say, “Xin… I’m really close. You should—” Zach couldn’t finish as a spike of pleasure went through him as Xin’s knees clamped down on his hips and she pushed herself down on him harder and pulled him back into a kiss, as he came inside of her.

Several minutes of slow, sensual kissing continued as both came down off their post-nut high. Zach wasn’t sure exactly when it had happened, but he realized his shirt had gone missing when he and Xin repositioned to spoon on the couch. Zach brushed her hair back and asked as he snaked his arm beneath her neck. “Did you mean for me to finish inside? I did tell you about the contraceptives.”

Xin sighed as she nodded. “Yes.”

“Even though I said I wasn’t sure I wanted kids?”

Xin squirmed uncomfortably. “I know… but… I figured if Delilah is taking away our birth control, then we probably get more points if you finish inside, and a lot more points if and when we get pregnant. Otherwise, it doesn’t make sense from a design perspective. Plus…” Xin trailed off for a while, but Zach let her think about her words and didn’t interrupt her train of thought. “Lynn made it clear earlier; she is going to push me towards some role with you. I’ve seen her be hostile towards the others, but honestly, the only time she got even remotely hostile towards me was when she made it clear that if I slept with you before she did, there would be problems. She even told me she was fine with what we just did as long as it happened after your date night with her.”

Zach asked, “I get the first part… I don’t like it, but that makes sense. But what does Lynn have to do with this?”

“Well, when I think of various types of relationships between a man and woman that are sexual in nature… I think I’d prefer the one where we’re a family. I told you some of the things about my family because I wanted you to understand that I was already being pushed towards what would be an arranged marriage. You’ve already treated me with more respect than any of the partners my parents were trying to get me to be with. Especially since you could simply make me whatever you wanted with enough time and effort.”

“That still doesn’t really explain why you risked getting pregnant. Unless… are you trying to baby trap me?”

“I… I guess that isn’t exactly wrong, but I’m not dumb right now. Trying to do that, I think, would be a quick way to become a broodmare. Where the rest of my life will have me barefoot and pregnant. I don’t want that, but are you seriously telling me that if I got pregnant, you wouldn’t make it a priority that I get through this?”

Zach frowned. “I probably would. Next time, you are not to stop me from pulling out. Do you understand?”

“Fine, but next time?” Xin asked hopefully.

“Of course, next time. I enjoyed that a lot.”

Xin smiled. “Glad to hear it. In a little bit, I’ll make some dinner, as I don’t want to force Heather to do it. Then maybe we could watch a movie before we go to bed?”

“I’d like that.”

Xin then nervously asked, “And um… could I ask a favor? Could you stay naked for the rest of the evening? It makes being in the apron less embarrassing.”

Zach chuckled as he squeezed her tight and kissed the top of her head. “Sure.”

Xin scooted back into him contentedly, and for the first time since coming here, didn’t feel the slightest bit of lust.
