Chapter 25 by bastian

What's next?

Rebel Bay

You squint as you emerge from below deck and into the warm summer morning.

"Land Ho!" a woman bellows. You look around, **** for a glimpse of dry land.

"Rebel Bay?" You ask a passing sailor, pointing at a thin wisp of smoke on the horizon. She stops for a moment, staring first at you and then at the direction you're pointing.

"It is indeed," she says with a wistful grin. "Shame, we'll only be in harbor until tomorrow."

You refrain from asking anymore questions for fear of raising suspicion, but you can't help but feel a little worried. You had thought you'd have at least a day or two to make contact with Liana, but now it looks like you'll only have this evening.

You hurry back to the captain's quarters and find them empty, but a pair of tight fitting pants and shirt lay folded on the captain's bed alongside a note that says, "Courtesy of the bosun."

You quickly get dressed and head down to the galley for lunch.

...

It takes nearly the full day to reach Rebel Bay, and as the sun sets, you're getting your first good look at the port town. What Rebel Bay lacks in beauty it makes up for in activity. The streets are packed with people; shops, houses, and warehouses built one upon the other, creating a maze of narrow and twisting passageways.

As you get closer, you realize that many of the structures are actually on stilts that rise a good six feet above the water's surface, creating a vast, labyrinthine maze that makes it all the more difficult to navigate.

The main docks are made of rough wooden planks that rise above the water like an earthen bridge. These planks stretch from the main dock into the town, each one a narrow footpath, and in places, they are as thick as your torso.

You stand back as the crew expertly maneuvers the ship through the maze of the dockyard, your gaze locked on the bustling port as the ship draws near.

When the ship finally docks, the gangplank is lowered and the crew begins to unload the ship.

"I've never denied a sailor shore leave, and I'll be damned if I start now." Darkwater says as she sees you staring longingly at the town.

"I'm free to explore the city." You ask, hoping beyond hope that the Piratess will all you to leave.

"Not quite. This is a quick pit stop, but I'll allow you to tag along with the twins for the evening."

"Veil, Aura," she bellows. The two read heads, already half way down the gangplank, turn in unison. "Take the male into town and see that no harm comes to him. Savvy."

The two redheads nod their assent and make their way up to you.

Veil grabs hold of your arm with one hand, and her sister, with her free hand, takes yours in a firm grip.

"Come, Male, we're off." Aura says with a grin.

They hustle you down the gangplank, and despite your best efforts, you soon find yourself lost in a maze of twisting alleys and narrow streets.

As you are escorted through the bustling port, you take in your surroundings. Everywhere you look, there are people—sailors, fishermen, merchants, dockworkers, and countless others you can't put a name to. Surprisingly though, there are only a handful of men about, some scantily clad, a few trailing women, but every one of them smaller than the smallest member of Darkwater's crew.

"He's a big one," a drunk woman calls as you walk by. "Mind if I borrow him for a tumble?

"Don't think he's interested in a beaten old cunt like yours," Aura says, tightening her grip on your arm.

"Maybe I don't give a shit what he's interested in?" The woman shoots back.

A long knife appears in Veil's free hand. "The male is with us," Veil says calmly. "If you value your life, you will step aside."

The drunk woman opens her mouth to retort, but a dangerous look from Aura silences her, and she says nothing as the two sisters practically drag you down the street.

You find yourself led through a series of alleys and streets until finally the two women stop.

"This is the place," Veil announces as she pushes you into an alcove.

The building is an ugly, three story building with a single door on the first floor. Though the building's façade is cracked and faded, you can still make out the words "Hag's Breath" painted on one wall. 'What are the chances?' you think to yourself.

Aura pulls the door open and gestures for you to follow.

The noise and smell of sour beer and vomit **** your senses as you step into the dimly lit tavern.

Women drink and gamble in every corner of the large common room. A fight breaks out at the bar but is quickly broken up by several evil looking bouncers with large cudgels.

The twins guide you to a small booth and a few minutes later, a tall woman with almond shaped eyes, olive skin, and long black hair approaches the table.

"What'll it be?" She asks in a strange accent.

"Ale and a room for the night." Aura orders, the woman nods and leaves, but not before giving you a curious look.

Veil leans forward conspiratorially, "Now here's how this will play out, Male; we're going to get drunk and then the three of us are heading upstairs for a bit of fun."

Aura leans forward and adds, "I can't speak for my sister, but I plan to spend most of the night riding that fat cock of yours."

A look of amusement crosses Veil's face. "Oh, I think we've had this talk before Aura, but the male is _ours _tonight, and if you think I'll let you take him upstairs alone, then you'd best disabuse yourself of that notion.

"But that's neither here nor there. Right now I want a fucking drink. Male, go see what's keeping that barkeep.

You excuse yourself from the table and follow the dark haired woman back to the bar.

"What's your name?" you ask her.

The dark haired woman looks you over and says, "Liana, but a sweet little snack like you can call me anything you want."

"Anna sent me." You say softly.

Liana's face pales. "And how is the lass?" she asks, all hints of her previous flirtatiousness gone in an instant.

"She's alive but being held captive by Cate Darkwater." She says nervously, glancing back at the twins, who are now deep in conversation.

"By the Goddess," Liana whispers, "Do you know what the fiend has planned for her?"

"She's been forcing me to... couple with her; I believe she wants 's Anna's child." You say quietly, "She told me to find you and said you'd be able to help."

Liana shakes her head. "I do not have the resources to mount an **** on a ship like that, even if we could find it, but I can help Anna if you can get her off that damn ship."

"She's being kept below deck," you say quickly. "They only bring her up when it's time for me to breed her."

Liana thinks for a moment.

"Darkwater's no fool. She knows Anna has allies in Rebel Bay, so she'll want to keep Anna's imprisonment a secret while she's in port, but she's never missed an opportunity for theatrics or to add to her own notoriety. I'd expect that as soon as they're safely in harbor, she'll order you to take the governess in a show of strength."

"That's..." Liana freezes as Veil slides up beside you, throwing a possessive arm around your broad shoulder.

"What's all this now?" Veil asks drunkenly, "Are my sister and I not enough for you?"

What's next?
