Rebecca Wins the Finals

As the finals bega, the other 3 fighters were totally confused. They were all sure hat Lucy from before was Straw Hat Luffy. Were they wrong? Was Straw Hat not fighting in the Colosseum?

'Doffy's going to be mad. Our trap to distract Straw Hat at the Colosseum with the prize being his late brother's DF didn't work? Then where's Straw Hat Luffy?!' thought Diamante.

'I was excited about the chance to fight Straw Hat over Ace's DR, the Mera Mera no Mi. They were all wrong about who Lucy was? What a letdown' thought Jesus Burgess.

'I thought Lucy was Luffy-senpai. I guess I'll go back to my original plan of winning the Mera Mera no Mi and give it to the real Luffy-senpai whenever I find him,' thought Bartolomeo.

As the finals began with such confusion over Lucy going around, Rebecca and Luffy kept on the guard as they would fight together to get the Mera Mera no Mi from the specif Fighting Fish that had it withinn a chest tied to it. Luffy wasn'r as confident in using his DF to fight yet as he hadn't had the chance to adjust it to his new body yet so he decided to rely more on his Haki instead.

As the finals progressed, Luffy prioritized in trying to get the DF and protecting Rebecca if she was in trouble. But after so long, their teamwork were able to trip and throw off the other 3 fighters as they got them to dall in the water one by one. When it was just the 2 of them left, Luffy got to the Fighting Fish that had the Mera Mera no Mi and ripped the chest off of it. He then presented the chest to Rebecca for her to eat.

As she ate the DF, she could feel its power coursing through her. Rebecca created a ring of fire around her and Luffy. Luffy felt only comfort by this fire as it reminded him of Ace and he ran to Rebecca as they hugged in excitement.
