Reason to celebrate

Chapter 54 by come up screaming come up screaming

Eight innings down and Doug is still dealing. Top of the ninth, no out, he jams the first batter with a four-seam fastball in on the hands and up out of the zone, pops him up to the foul side of third. One pitch, one out.

It’s been a pretty easy game for Doug. Once we staked him to an early lead, the Aggies started pressing, and he started living out of the zone. The Aggies followed him out, and he’s had them swinging at balls all game. Since they’re swinging at bad pitches, he put his arm on cruise. He’s been throwing at maybe 80% effort most of the game, trusting to movement and location to do the job. It’s worked. The Aggies have missed a lot of pitches (resulting in a number of Ks), and produced a steady stream of pop-ups and weak grounders when they’ve made contact.

The next batter chases an 0-1 slider low and away and squibs it off the end of his bat. Easy groundout right to the first baseman. Two up, two down.

It’s been a lot of fun watching Doug put on a pitching clinic. It’s been even more fun hitting. It feels surreal to think that I’ve played a major part in giving him an easy game, but it’s true. On the afternoon, I’ve gone 4-4 with a double, two home runs, a walk, and a HBP, scored five runs and driven in six. The crowd has been going nuts—and so have my teammates. I’d say it’s been a dream debut, except that I could never have dreamed anything this good.

Doug closes out the game with a three-pitch strikeout. That’s a complete-game shutout for him and a 15-0 win for the Blue Wave. The crowd gives us a standing ovation. He stands on the mound for a while, soaking it in and waving at everyone with his cap—then he waves at me in the dugout. I freeze. A couple of my teammates push me up the steps and onto the field, and the noise from the stands seems to double. I stare around me in awe. My back brain gets my hand in gear to mimic Doug, waving mechanically around the stadium as I try to absorb the fact that this is actually happening.

“Kimberly, where are we going?” I ask in some confusion. “I know I’m tired, but I don’t think this is the way out of the stadium.” All the postgame hullaballoo is over, and we’re finally by ourselves. She’s leading the way, and I’m feeling lost.

“It isn’t,” she says with a little smirk on her face. I wait for her to elaborate, but she doesn’t. I shrug and let it go. I’m tired, and it’s not like she’s going to get us lost.

After a couple minutes, she stops at a non-descript door. “Where are we?” I ask, still confused.

“Someplace special,” Kimberly says, pulling a key out of her pocket. “I’m sharing a secret with you.” She unlocks the door and leads me into—

—a comfortable bedroom. There’s a desk, and a small refrigerator, and an open door that leads into what looks like a really nice bathroom. Most importantly, there’s a king-size bed, made up, with the sheets turned down. I stand there speechless as Kimberly shuts and locks the door behind us. Then she comes around in front of me and wraps her arms around me. She gives me a long, loving kiss. “This room belongs to the softball team,” she says. “I don’t know what this space used to be or why the plumbing was here; it’s been a special room for us since before I came to BSU. A couple wealthy alumni created it, and we take care of it. The athletic department knows about it—the senior people, anyway—but otherwise, it’s a little secret for us and our guests. Mostly, it’s a place for us to take our boyfriends, though it’s occasionally used for other things. I thought it would be a good way to celebrate your first game.”

Kimberly grins smugly. “Of course, I didn’t know we’d have quite that much to celebrate, but I bought you a little surprise.” She raises her hands and turns in my arms, rubbing her ass against my cock. “Why don’t you unwrap me and find out what it is?”
