Reality check

It’s been a couple weeks since your strange meeting, and you’ve been simply living life since then. You’re generally happy, and the girls do a lot to keep you that way. This evening, you’re in your usual place on the couch, with Lili and Emi on either side of you. You’re watching something on the television, but none of you are paying much attention, instead focused on each other, as usual.

You’ve received a couple letters from Harold, which you’ve made a point to ignore. It’s simply not worth the risk. You feel a bit bad, having promised to help him, but you console yourself by remembering that at least you connected him with one other runaway. You do wonder what happened with them, as they seemed happy together.

As you’re pondering on that, you hear a knock at the door. You’re not expecting anyone, so you’re a bit confused as you untangle yourself from the girls and check. Opening the door, you find the hall empty, but there’s a note on the floor instead. You pick it up with a sigh, knowing exactly where it came from. Opening the note, you see familiar handwriting.

It’s time to begin. Meet me at the same place once again. Tomorrow at 7pm. Come alone.

You sigh, rereading the note several times. You had been dreading this, but you knew it was coming. Now that it’s here, you’re a bit numb. You walk back and sit on the couch, showing the note to the girls. Lili shrugs it off as you expected, but Emi is a bit more concerned.

“I hope you don’t have to do anything dangerous…”

You nod. “Me too. He did make it sound like we weren’t going to be directly involved, but who knows.”

Emi hugs you. “Please be careful, Andy. I don’t want anything to happen to you.”

Lili giggles as she cuts in. “And we can have some wild sex when you finish, yes-yes?”

You laugh, despite yourself. “That’s your answer to everything, isn’t it?”

Lili grins. “You love-love it! Wanna go-go have sex now?”

Emi laughs as well. “I mean…she’s not wrong…and it’s not a bad idea…”

You roll your eyes. “You’re both insatiable. Not right now, but later, I promise.”

Lili pouts a little bit, but cheers up quickly as you gather then both into a cuddle. While sex is her favorite activity, cuddling is a close second. Probably because it so often leads to sex, since she still generally refuses to wear clothes. Tonight, though, you just want them close.
