Chapter 7 by gothamalleyviper gothamalleyviper

PANIC! The Princess is Missing!

Reactions

“This is weird,” Mario looked at the half a chair he had pulled from the ground, “This is very weird… and no one saw anything?”

“All of the look outs are sure that no air vehicles or Para-koopas came anywhere near the palace,” Toadsworth confirmed.

The bottom of the chair looked as if it had been melted off.

The chamber she had been in had had the walls smoothed and carvings telling the story of a kingdom under attack. Peach couldn’t read the text that had been carved into the wall, but she gathered the story of repeated attacks across many generations. Each version had the story of a wizard warlord attacking, a princess calling for help, and a boy responding and striking down the wizard warlord… it had happened dozens of times and each was told with slightly different art for each retelling… except the last. The Warlord was there, the Princess was there, but it had stopped on an women moaning at a grave the size of a baby.

“Let’s see what is next…” Peach shook her head as she was about to make a turn and exit the passage.

Inside the next chamber was a natural table in the center of the chamber, like an alter, with a series of objects laid out on the surface. All around the chamber, small shelves were formed in the walls with many small candles glowing softly.

“This seems rather suspicious,” Peach muttered.

Peach carefully made her way into the chamber and up to the stone alter. On the front was the same divided up triangle she had seen earlier when she was sucked into this place and on the stories of the battles in the other chambers.

“It must be something religious,” Peach mused unsure what to make of the scene before her.

On the alter was a sword the size of her hand on top of an equally small shield, around them was a belt that could wrap around Peach’s waist, belly, and bosom at the same time, next to them was an armored breast plate big enough to for Peach to stand behind and use as a shield for her whole body, the undyed linen tunic’s neck opening alone was wider than Peach’s shoulders, the pair of boots seemed big enough for Bowser to wear… But then there was the pink ball. It stood on the end, almost like it was meant to be the first thing put on.

“How is one supposed to wear a ball?” Peach mused aloud.

She was not surprised when her question was answered with the still silence of the cave.

Princess Zelda sat in the office she had taken over; she wept as she read report after report from the boarders of her kingdom… Gannon was encircling kingdom and cutting off any path of escape for the Hylean people. They could only retreat to the castle here at the center of the kingdom. Unless a miracle was found, she would be stuck here in a castle under siege by Gannon’s armies of monsters.

Conundrums, questions, and possibilities....
