Rather Be Just Friends
“I can't. You are probably right. We could never be together but I don't want a taste of something I could never have, especially as beautiful as you are.” I smiled as I sat up and gave her a kiss. “Still. I will be a little envious of however you end up marrying.” She hugged me tightly and held onto me for awhile as I rubbed her back then she got up and slipped out of the room.
Morning came as usual and I spent part of the day just looking around the city with Terra at my side. I was basically teaching her the value of money which was hard considering she still thought her coin was my coin. Though I finally managed to talk her into realizing that it be easier on her master if she could buy her own stuff. Teaching her the difference between buying necessities and stuff that was shinny would be a problem for another day but I let her splurge a little and spend the money from the goblins. Who had been keeping her as a ****.
On my way back I happened to run across the goblin knight mounted on top of a small donkey as he road into town. Guess he found a ride after all.
“Hello fair lady and kind sir.” He nodded his head. Terra hid behind me as if afraid he might try to take her back to the goblins.
“Brave knight.” I smiled.
“No fear me lovely maiden. I mean no harm.” He said hopping off his donkey and removing his helmet. I could see he had used the wolf pelts to pad his armor so it fit better then before.
“You no try bring Terra back to goblins?” Terra said peeking out from behind me.
“Not at all. You have word as knight. It against code to enslave another. Especially one so lovely.”
“Thank you.” Terra smiled stepping out but staying beside me.
“So, What brings you this way good knight?”
“A quest.” He said as he struck a pose sticking his chest out.
“A quest?”
“Yes. A dangerous one. A vile darkness lies beneath the town which must be slain.” He nodded.
“What darkness?” Terra asked.
“Huge ass rats I told. Some big as goblins. Brave men wanted kill rats so come and kill I do. A copper a head for big one's. It a shame you large human. Many rat we could slain together but sewers cramped for you.” He shook his head.
“Yes. Such a pity but I wish you luck in your battle my friend.”
“Thank you kind sir. Duty calls.” He nodded and bowed to Terra. “My Lady.” He put back on his helmet and mounted his donkey though struggled a wee bit to get his leg over.
“He seems nice. Think we see him again?”
“Surprisingly yes. I took Terra back to the Inn and headed for the woods.
I took her back home and hoped on my horse and rode to huntersrest then went south to the lake and followed a stream that emptied into it for several leagues west. I had to get off of my horse and tie him up by the stream as the terrain slopped upward more then I would feel comfortable riding on and not fall off. When I got to the top I finally found the source. A large tarn. I am sure it filled with every rain. I had an amazing view of the mountain range though it was all covered with trees so I didn't see any real mountains per say. I was looking into the elven kingdom though I wondered how long it would take to get over all the mountains and hills to get there. Maybe some day soon. I glanced back the other way and saw the city and the surrounding area. It looked as if I could fit it in the palm of my hand.
I went about looking for fairy cocoons and found several scattered about. I had brought two bags this time but still wasn't sure I would be able to get it all at this rate. This spot wasn't even on Gwen's map. Hell I couldn't even say if any elf or human had ever stood on this mountain top. I was pretty far from Huntersrest. I gathered some plants here and there from the book and gathered them. I say a flower that looked like it had been plucked lying on the ground and was about to pick it up when it moved.
I stopped and looked at it carefully and smiled. It wasn't a flower by a fairy that looked like one. She was green with luna moth like wings that resembled leaves. In place of hair she had red petals like that of a Rose. She even had what looked like pistils and stamens sticking out. I wondered how many times I had seen a fairy and never even realized I had. She got up and tried to fly away but fell back to the ground. Her wing was hurt. Anytime I got close she would try to fly away. I finally grabbed her and held her tight. That was a mistake as she let out a small scream and suddenly I was swarmed with fairies out of no where. I cover my head and touched her wing.
“Mendus.” I said holding it to her wing for a few seconds before letting her go. She flew out of my hand and up into the air and the other fairies scattered. My skin tingled from all the bites. Hopefully they weren't poisonous. I saw the fairy fly in circles and glance back at her wing. She looked down at me and then flew off. Needless to say I didn't pluck another flower on the hill and focused on cocoons and explored a little before I realized it was getting dark. I had both my bags filled at least and looked like I had cleared the area. I went back to the hose and road back the way I came. I was pretty sure I wouldn't make it home before sunset so I would just get a bed at the inn in Huntersrest.
“Welcome.” A woman said from the bar. The place was bigger then I thought it would be and looked more like a hunting lodge then a tavern but I guess that was the whole point. Only a handful of people inside I was surprised when I saw Artemis's mom Lilly sitting at the bar talking to the the barmaid. “What happened to you dear?”
“Fairies from the look of it.” Lily smiled as she stood up.
“Thanks.” She smiled and gave me a wink.
“So what can I do for you.” The woman said. I believed her name was Katherine if I remember right.
“A room for the night for me and my horse and some food and drink if you got any.”
“Twelve copper.” She nodded. I reached into my bag and dug out my coin purse and paid the woman.
“Coming right up. Trevor. Go take the gentleman's horse around back.” She yelled at a young man sitting at a table with some other fellows.
“Yes, Ma'am.”
“Fairy silk. That's pretty hard to find.” Lily said as she pulled some off of my sleeve.
“Their is an elven tailor in town.”
“Gwendolyn. I was wondering why I hadn't seen her. I might have to go visit her and get a new dress.” Lily smiled and nodded.
“Here you go kid.” Katherine said as she came out with a bowl of stew and drink
“So are you all ready for the kings visit?”
“Ready as can be expected. A cellar full of **** and food. Every room is reserved. Only thing left is to get some entertainment. Besides Emeralds girls that is.” Katherine smiled.
“I know a bard who sings at the tavern I stay at.” I replied.
“She any good?”
“I like to think so but I could be partial.”
“Well it's only for a week but if she would come out here I least like to hear her play first.”
“Ill let her know.” I smiled. I ate and went up to my room which was rather spacious but a tavern in the city needed all the rooms it could to accommodate so many travelers. I healed up the fairy bites that seemed to be every where. Sadly healing oneself was harder then healing someone else. Both required the same amount of injury but an injured person would have less energy to give. Not that it mattered for small bites like this.
I sat flipping through the book of plants and looked at the flowers I had collected to compare them and see what they did. Mixing potions was a whole another topic all together but I just wanted to see if I could make any coin.
Suddenly I heard a noise and something flew in the window I had opened to let in the cool night air. It flew toward me and stopped. It was the fairy I had healed. Granted I didn't have the best view in the candlelight and dim light that shown in through the window. I saw a small light they glowed from the back of her head like that of a glow bug. She was carrying a bundle of grapes as big as she was. She flew a little closer and dropped them on the desk.
“For me?” I asked and she nodded. Well she understood at least. Guess this was her way of thanking me or saying sorry. She landed on the table. The light dimmed and the peddles that made up her hair closed. Lily had said they ate bugs so looking like a flower made sense. They could lure their prey while hiding from predators. I imagined the light I had saw could be used to attract fireflies and such. They were attracted to water because of the bugs. I wondered if stories I had heard about will o wisp were really just faeries hunting at night. “Thank you.” I smiled and took one and plopped it in my mouth.
Now that had a better view of her I could really take her in. She had two large eyes and a mouth but no nose though maybe the stamen acted like antenna. Long elf like ears that resembled sepals. She wore a lovely sheer dress that looked to be made of the same silk I had been collecting though I hope Gwen was making the dresses of a thicker material because it didn't hide much of anything.
Though only a foot tall she was very well proportioned. Her tits each about the size of the grapes with slightly darker green nipples that looked like small thorns as they stuck out though they didn't appear to be sharp. Slender waist and well rounded hips. A nice round ass and a tiny little pussy that had no hair but then she wasn't a mammal. Hell I wasn't sure if she could be called an insect or a plant.
She got a little closer as she looked at the pictures in the book and leaned over slightly letting her breast hang under her. She was curious about what I was doing. She kept her distance still So I slide the book over toward her and flipped the page. As I did she gave a smile and pointed to one of the plants that matched the picture.
“Very good.” I smiled. She was smart it seemed. I read the chapter saying that the flower was called a fire blossom and could be mixed with a small amount of water and ground with into paste and applied to cuts and scraps. It had a soothing effect that could ease pain and helped stop bleeding and could be brewed in tea to ease pain. That was good to know and hell even I could make that one if needed. I saw the fairy get up and walk over as she got a little closer and grabbed one of the grapes. She gave gave it several tugs. Her small ass moving back and forth. Her breast swinging underneath her. The grape finally popped off and she fell on her ass. I couldn't help but give a small laugh. She threw me a look as she pouted and got up rubbing her ass which was a slightly darker green.
“Sorry.” I shook my head.
“Let me help.” I held out my hand and she moved back a little. “I am just going to make it feel better I said and she nodded. “Solacium.” I said and only used one finger. I touched it to her ass and began to rub it. Her skin was soft to my surprise as I rubbed my finger around her ass checks in small circles. She actually bent over some sticking her ass out. This spell was meant for people so for her tiny body I imagined it was very powerful. She bent over and began to rub her tiny pussy against my finger. The fairy was enjoying herself it seemed. I guess the spell had other uses I hadn't thought of yet.
