Tell Him To Let Her Go.

“No I want you to let her go before there is one.” I said. He let her go and Daisy ran behind me. The minotaur blindsided me with a the back of his fist sending me to the dirt.

“Some fighter you are human.” He laughed and spit on me. I kicked as hard as I could at his shin.

“You son of a bitch.” He said as he limped back a few steps. I got up and managed to land a punch to his jaw that I had just punch a solid oak tree. He swung and I ducked under and got behind him landing several punches to his side which turned out to be a bad move as he kicked like a mule sending me flying through the air and landing on the ground a good ten feet away knocking the wind out of me and possible breaking a few ribs in the process. I got up as I heard him coming at me. I held my side and backed up until I hit the wall of a building. He lowered his head and charged at me. I held my ground till the last possible second and dodged as his horns hit the wall and broke through while his head hit wood stunning him. I grabbed his hair and shoved it into the wall several times before he managed to pull himself free. He came at me swinging in rage as his fist flew at me. He was slow but not as slow as I would have liked since one lucky punch would hurt like hell. He lowered his head again and charged in rage at me.

I caught his horns and stopped them from skewering me. My feet drag across the ground. He threw a punch to my midsection as he stopped suddenly sending me flying. I rolled across the ground before coming to a stop. I fought for breath and coughed up a little bit of blood from my mouth. I heard him behind me. I rolled over as I saw him standing over me. He raised his hoofed foot into the air to stomp on me. I threw my own foot up catching him between the legs. He fell to his knees holding his crotch and doubled over in pain. It was a low move and I felt a little bad for doing it but he was going to kick me when I was down. I got up and grabbed him by the horns and slammed his face against my knee as it drove hard into his nose.

I saw everyone was watching including a few minotaur who looked very pissed at me though none made a move. I turned back when I heard a noise and saw the minotaur getting back to his feet though slowly. Fuck. Did I have to castrate the fucker to keep him down. Before he got up however he was shoved down to the ground with a kick to his back as Brutus came up behind him. Brutus kept his foot on the down minotaur back and grabbed his horns yanking them back..

“Kvigr, you dare lay hand on my daughter and dare attack one of her friends.” Brutus said as he yanked hard. I wonderedrater Kvigr's horns or head would snap off first the way Brutus pulled on them.

“Brutus.” Kvigr grunted in pain. “I didn't know she was your daughter...I didn't hurt her... I meant no harm to her I swear. I didn't think...”

“No you didn't think. You accost my daughter, start a fight with a human.” Brutus said in anger.

“Please. No. He is a fool but he is my son. I beg of you Brutus.” A minotaur woman said as she pushed through the small crowd that had gathered.

“Let him go Brutus.” A well dressed man said.

“Yes Magistrate.” Brutus huffed and let the Kvigr's horns go driving him back into the dirt with his foot before stepping off.

“Who started this fight?” The magistrate asked.

“He did.” Daisy pointed.

“You, Do you seek retribution for this attack on your person?” The magistrate looked at me.

“No.”

“Very well. I think an ass kicking from a human is punishment enough for him. He will be allowed to go free but he shalt never set hoof in this town again if he wishes to keep his horns upon his head. I leave the matter of his ill behavior towards one of his own kind to be settled between your clans.”

“Thank you magistrate.” The montaur woman nodded.

“See him past the wall.” The magistrate said and two minotuars came over grabbing Kvigr and taking him away.

“Are you okay?” Daisy said as she came over and touched my face and licked her thumb before wipping blood away from my lip

“Yeah. Just got the wind knocked out of me a few times.” I smiled feeling a hoof print in the leather of my jacket.

“I am so sorry.” Daisy shook her head.

“Not your fault.” I smiled.

“You have balls as big as a bull kid. Thank you.” Brutis said as he patted my shoulder.

“Please I beg your forgiveness human. This is all I have to repay you.” The minotaur woman said as she dropped to her knees and held out her hand offering me her coin purse. If I had wanted Kvigr would have suffered sever punishment for attacking a human. Despite being treated fairly most of the time the demi-humans were still second class citizens and different laws applied to them then it did to humans, gnomes, and elves.

“Keep it. I don't want your money.” I shook my head and touched her hands closing them around her coin purse. I helped her up to her feet and she hugged me. “Thank you."

"Brutus. Please forgive my sons behavior.”

“I can not. But out of respect for your husbands memory I will not seek retribution. I will however ask the elders that he not be allowed to marry until he has proven himself capable of compassion for others before he can take a wife of his own.”

“I will not object. It is spoken. It is done.” She lowered her head.

“It is spoken. It is done.” Brutus replied.

“Are you okay?” Hannah asked as she came over. “Come in and sit for a bit. Feel anything broken.”

“Hard to tell.” I laughed. I had just got kicked by a bull and I felt like it. Other then that I was fine.

“How many fingers am I holding up.” She smiled as she bent over.

“Nine if I count all three of you.”

“Close enough.” She smiled. I was happy to get back home and took the rest of the day to rest and read trying out new spells. I was getting a hang of the basics now. Nothing powerful mind you but I had a grasp of magic I hadn't two weeks ago. I decided to call it a night and was about to blow out the lamp when a light tap came at the door.

“Enter.” I said. A second later Daisy came in dressed in a sleeping gown.

“Still awake?” She smiled and closed the door.

“Just reading.” I shrugged and sat the book on the bedside table.

“Thanks for today.” She sat on the bed. The moon light beaming through the window outlined her beautiful body through the gown.

“No problem. You don't have to thank me for looking out for you. Where friends.” I smiled.

“Seems you are always looking out for me since the first day we meet.” She smiled. She leaned over and gave me a kiss.

“What was that for?”

“My way of saying I like you. A lot. I know we can never be more then friends. Your a human and I am a minotaur and my father would never approve. But I wouldn't mind being something more even if it is for just for tonight.” She chewed her lip as she looked at me.
