Raising morale

A newsletter went out to all employees at Rose’s work from the boss:

Hello valued employees-

We have had a tough season this last quarter and I know morale is down a bit. However, please know that notal raising programs have been laid out by corporate. Our flagship program will start this week annd continue every week. We will be having one of our lovely employees be featured for a Topless Fridays initiative. A single employee will be featured every week starting with Rose Irving from accounting this Friday. We look forward to her participation as our first participant and morale booster.

“This cannot be fucking happening…” Rose said as she had her face hid in her hands. Her friend and coworker, Leanne, was patting her back.

“On the bright side of things, at least you get it over with early and don’t have to worry if your name will show up next week,” she said with an optimistic tone.

“Annie…there’s nothing in this email that says I’m immune from being picked again…”Rose said in an annoyed tone. “Sorry I don’t mean to take my frustrations out on you…”

“It’s alright, Rose. I understand that there really is no bright side to this,” Leanne said as she leaned into her serious side. “What are you gonna do?”

“Well I’m coming topless. I really like this job and if I have to show my breasts then I guess I’m going topless for a day,” Rose said with a look of disgust that she is actually ok with that.

“That’s the spirit! Who knows maybe you’ll get a few raises and tips?” Leanne said with a chuckle.

“Har har…I’m hoping that I don’t see many people but I guarantee everybody will stop by to see Topless Friday in action,” Rose said leaning back in her chair and stretching her arms behind her head.
