Chapter 21 by MythicalPanther

Should I go look for her tomorrow?

Rainy day

To quote John Wick: Yeah, I'm thinking I'm back. My therapist recommended I try to reincorporate past hobbies from when I last felt like myself, so here I am. I might write an author's note briefly going over life stuff if anyone is interested, but I'm not opposed to a message here or on Discord. Username is mythicalwolf.

Thunder crackles above your apartment complex, rattling some of the windows. The storm shows its **** again, startling you from your slumber. The sisters are still sleeping soundly. Giving each a kiss on the forehead, you sneakily slip out of bed.

You pour yourself a bowl of cereal and check a few electrical items. You still have power, fortunately. You attempt to watch some TV, but all you get is static. Not surprising, considering how bad the storm is. In this situation, you'd normally turn on a streaming service, but you cancelled all of them. You didn't know how much the girls would affect you financially, so you wanted to play it safe. As you eat your cereal, you hear something weird. A sneeze followed by some slight scratching. You must be hearing things, right? You definitely didn't get enough sleep, and you're barely awake. Then you hear the same thing again. You set down your bowl and try to search for those sounds. Walking up to the door, you open it to a startling sight. A soaked and shivering Jane, weakly scratching at the door.

You hesitate briefly before leaning down to scoop her up and help her inside. She must be freezing. Walking in these weather conditions in the middle of the night is a recipe for mild hypothermia in most cases. As you carry her inside, she recognizes your scent and nuzzles into you chest. She found who she was looking for.

You set her on the ground near your couch and run to grab some towels and your worn, but dry, clothes. You whisper a quick apology to the wolf girl, then proceed to help her out of her wet clothes. Humans are very sensitive to being cold and wet at the same time, and without enough knowledge about her kind, you figured it would be better to err on the side of caution.

Although you live with 2 of the bustiest women on the planet, what you're seeing and doing still has a reaction on you. How could it not? You're a young male with a pulse. You try your best to be quick, and once she's in dry clothes with her hair wrapped in a towel, you lift her and set her on the nearby couch. You're ridden with guilt. You tried your best to justify stripping a barely conscious girl to yourself, but your hands won't stop shaking. You need to call someone that can help you calm down a bit. With your cereal now soggy, you throw it away as you dial an AWIO number you were given when you first sponsored Millie.

Who picks up the phone?
