RAAAAAAAARRRRR!!!!!!

Smashing time! You and Cameron leap on the simulated monster that's got Jace cornered, and whack it bunches with your shields. You're actually able to get some solid, powerful hits in yourself, as the two of you have a bit of a tennis match with it and your shields until eventually it falls over and Jace is finally free to lower his raised kicking leg.

The three of you all pile over the monster, smashing up and down on it. Jace doesn't have a shield, so he joins in by just whacking it with one of his crossbow bolts. You don't think it actually does much, because it's flimsy and wobbly and all, but you don't tell him that because you still want him to feel included.

You all keep raining down smacks onto it until it goes still, and in the process, you land not just a few more really good hits on it. With the monster defeated, you all straighten back up from your hunched-over positions, and look between each other.

"Cool." Says Jace.

KKRA-CKOOOM!

There's the sudden sound of a loud explosion from off in the distance, and a small flash of orangey light comes through the hut's glassless windows. Moving to look out of them, you all see Delilah landing gracefully on the piece of land on the other side of the stream. The bridge is in ruins and almost entirely gone, and there's a ginormous cloud of dark smoke surrounding where it just was.

Bits and fragments of charred wood rain down onto the land and into the stream as Delilah looks around the area, sickles at the ready, but neither of the two monsters that were by her appear. She relaxes her posture when she spots the charred and blackened forms of the simulated monsters in the stream, water running over and across where they lie.

"Way to go." Jace says to himself, smiling. You and Cameron are a bit more.... did she do that, or do the monsters just explode sometimes?

"Alright, everybody, group up! It's evaluation time." Professor Phoebe calls out, dropping down from the hut's thatched roof just in front of the window you were all staring out of. Ah! TWO surprises, back to back!

Without another word to each other, three of you all move out the hut's door to join Professor Phoebe as she double-checks some of her written down notes. When Delilah arrives her leather boots are a bit wet from crossing the stream, but she seems mostly unharmed and very proud of herself. Like a selfish person.
