Quite a lot!

Leading you in and through the house, you make yourself comfy in Ben's awesome couch as he speaks to you.

"Listen, I reckon if you end up going to uni, you're going to drop out again-"

"-, but if you really want it then I guess I can see about talking to someone at Coinpilfer to get you a scholarship, or special admittance, or something like that-"

"You pay less. Since I like you, I probably find it in myself to scrounge up some money, to help put towards whatever's left, as pay you for all the other times you modelled for me."

Your eyes light up with a joy like no other. All within one day you're, like, eight or nine steps closer to your dream! You rock!

"Listen, I'm happy to do this because you're my friend and I want you to be happy, but Coinpilfer aren't big on refunds as far as I know, so if I do this for you then I need you to make a deal with me."

Ben's awesome. He's going to be an art teacher or something, so using his teaching contacts to help you pay less is super nice of him! And he's helping to pay for your uni? How could this have any possible downside?

"If you drop ou- if you leave the school before you finish being taught everything, then you have to come and live with me for a while to make it up to me. I'll paint you and-- show you other things, and you'll have to go along with it all. Does that sound fair?"

WOW! You know you aren't going to leave early, and even if you do, all you'll have to do is just to stay with your best friend for a while? There is no downside! You quickly and excitedly agree, and over the next short time Ben properly explains to you where you can go to make the rest of the money that you'll need. He also explains other stuff that sounded pretty important when he said it, but that's hard to remember. The gist of it is, go around the city and see what pops up. Nine or ten steps closer now! This day has been so awesome!
