Chapter 21 by Ragnockae136 Ragnockae136

How Is The Actual Funeral????

Quite Nice, As Far As Funeral's Go

Aegon Was Watching As His Uncle Doran Was Interred In Sunspear's Crypt His Mood Solemn and Silent, Because He Was Keeping Arianne Close In His Arms, Making Sure She Remained Strong For Him As Much As Herself. When The Deed Was Done Aegon Left His Mother, Uncle, and Cousins To Grieve, While He and Quentyn Left The Crypt. Once Outside, Aegon Turns To Quentyn. "First Father, Then Connington, Now Uncle Doran. How Many More Familiar Losses Must We Endure?" Aegon Notes. "Only The God's Know For Sure." Says Quentyn. "But Do They? We Of The South Adhere To The Seven, Our Ironborn Subjects Adhere To Some Mad Drowned God, While The North Adhere's To The Old Gods, I Was Raised A Follower Of The Seven, But I Am Loosing Faith In Them Quent, I Need A Reason To Believe Again." Says Aegon, As A Dark Red Shadow Looms Over The Sky. "Impossible." Says Aegon. "Is It? You Asked For A Sign, A Reason To Believe, Yet There One Is Plain As Day." Says Quentyn As A Red Comet Rockets Across The Sky. "But Which Of The God's Has Sent It? Red Is Not The Color Of The Seven, I Know Of Two Religions Where Red Is Prominent." Says Aegon. "The Old and The Fiery One Is It Not?" Asks Quentyn. "I Need To Speak To Jaehaerys." Says Aegon As He Remembers That His Brother Was Raised A Follower Of The Old Gods.

Aegon Had Chosen To Leave Dorne, After Only Three Days, Aegon Needed To Return, Since He'd Received Word Of A Great Threat That Caused Lord Eddard To Raise His Banners. Most Of Dorne Rode With The King, and Aegon Rode At Their Side, Not Ahead Of Them. Highgarden Would Remain South, As Aegon Decreed, But Would Send A **** Of Fifteen Thousand Men With The Supplies To Manage More Than Twice That. The Knight's Of The Vale, The River Lords, and A Few Lord's Of The Stormlands Under Renly Baratheon Had Already Ridden North and Were Set To Rendezvous At Castle Black. Aegon Would Stop Briefly At Kingslanding To Get The Steel From Varys and The Warriors From Illyrio, Before Continuing North.

Aegon Had Left His Queen's and Lovers Behind In Kingslanding, Most The Small Council and Kingsguard Rode North With Aegon and Dowager Queen Lyanna, Who In Spite Of Repeated Rebuffing By Aegon, Still Came Along Any Way. Obara Was The Only Sand Snake To Accompany Aegon, and She Was Repeatedly Voicing Her Disapproval At The Royally "Encouraged" Marriage To The Crippled Heir Of Highgarden. Aegon Was Tempted To Sick His Small Council Or Stepmother On His Fearsome and Terrifying Sand Snake Cousin, But Ultimately Only One Fit The Right Dress So To Speak, Obara's Father, Oberyn. Aegon Was Happy To Have Another Lost Relic In His Possession, Dark Sister, Found By Illyrio Mopatis In Essos Not North As Is Believed According To The Records. Aegon Intended To Gift It To His Brother, But Would Very Much Prefer To Keep It For Himself Or Better Yet, One Of His Son's.

North????
