Quickly escape

Watching Mum almost instantly obey her latest order (roll over) given to her by Emily who had been making Bubbles do tricks for the last little while as she had done every day since Kate became a dog, Lara was growing more and more concerned how fast her mom was getting used to being treated as a pet, deciding time was not on her side Lara choose to go with a simple escape plan using just what she already knew about the farms layout.

On the journey to the farm Lara had not seen any other fences, walls or gates that would impede them escaping right down the main driveway once they had got out of the fenced field attached to the barn which should be no harder to open for Kate as the one she opened to take the cows out into the field, Lara had briefly thought of fleeing into the woods but without knowing how big or dense they were and with no idea where they lead quickly put an end to that line of thinking, that night Lara explained the plan to Kate as best she could given how often her mother kept getting distracted by every little sight, sound or smell the barn had to offer, Stamping her hooves hard onto the ground to get Kate's attention once again, Lara pointed to where she had written the plan in the dirt.

As soon as Lara was sure it was past the time for anyone to check on them again tonight she nudged Kate who was currently licking her arm into action, a few minutes later just as they got past the two gates and started to go around the turning circle in front of the house Lara was shocked when her mother suddenly growled then started barking at the hedge off to the side, desperately wanting to quiet her mother Lara dashed back to her and went to cover her mouth but with the muzzle on her face it was impossible, needing to silence her fast Lara gave her a tap to the side of her head which seemed to snap her out of it, leaning down so they were face to face Lara could see the shocked look in her mothers eyes.

Why, why did i react like that Kate thought, there was no warning, no thought behind her action, she heard a cat in the hedge and just reacted, my god what have they done to me, remembering back to the training Kate tried to think of any reason it would have effected her so much but beyond a sense she was forgetting something nothing came to mind, looking back to see if anyone noticed she was relieved that the farm was still quiet.

A couple of hours later Lara realised they were completely lost, deciding the roads were too dangerous as they would be the first place Sarah would look they had cut across several fields in the opposite direction of the nearest town, morning was fast approaching and they were both very tired so they were **** for somewhere to rest but the only buildings they could see were some large corrugated steel ones on a professional looking farm, they could hear animal noises from inside and there was a slightly open door on the side of one of the buildings so they had the option of taking the chance to rest inside or continue on and sleep outside
