Quests and Slip ups

"Yo what's that?" I get startled as Marcus' voice comes from behind me, turning around I see him picking a cup that was on the kitchen counter with his eyes narrowed, my phone slipped from my hand and now I have it face down, my hand over it.

"Uh... It's just some app, heh, you startled me" I say trying to play it off, hoping that he didn't see the screen.

Marcus raises an eyebrow at me "Some app?" He repeats "What app?"

"Just something I found, it's like a to-do list but with fun challenges, I mean, they are called quests but they are more like chores" I say, trying to keep my cool and don't appear nervous.

"... Is it called LifeQuest?" Shit, he must know what's up already, no, calm down, I don't know that

"uh... yeah, actually" I gulp, trying to think fast on my feet, "It's called LifeQuest, it's a new app I think? It kinda just appeared on my phone it's got these...quests you know and I do them and it gives me rewards and stuff"

Marcus smirked "And it gave you a quest to clean my room spotless?"

"Yeah! I mean yeah" holy shit thank god the misleading worked, I got up and tapped the area around the confirmation button is, hopefully getting a quest will distract him.

Marcus' grin disappears as he takes his phone out of his pocket "huh... I got a quest, seems like we both have things to do then".

"Seems like it, I better go and start cleaning your bedroom then" I say, eager to get out of this conversation, turning towards the exit but before I could go to the living room Marcus takes a hold of my wrist

"Leo wait... uh, read this" I frown and read what his phone is showing.

Huh!? "That's impossible I w..." Nope, I almost said that that quest wasn't what I wrote and it isn't! Did the app change my quest? I want to check my phone but that would be like telling him I wrote that quest and nothing is impeding him from looking over my shoulder, again.

Also, Improved relationship with me? What does that even mean? Before I can continue to glare at the phonescreen that Marcus' phone was displaying, phone that I didn't realize I had taken from him, was ripped from my grasp.

"Come on, it's just a simple quest, let's get it over with" He said, pulling me towards the bathroom.

"Marcus, what the hell?" I tried to protest but it was futile, his grip was firm and apparently his determination to do quests too "You can just, not do the quest you know?"

"Come on, Leo," he chuckled, "It's just a simple clean-up, and look, it'll improve our relationship! Whatever that means" He waved his phone in my face, showing the quest description again.

"You don't have to take it too literally, you know," I say, trying to coax him into just, not doing the quest, "It's probably just a typo." But Marcus's grip doesn't loosen, and he's already pulling me towards the bathroom, his grin growing wider by the second.

"Come on, Leo, it's not like I haven't seen you naked before, remember when we were kids?" He says trying to lighten the mood but it only makes it more awkward.

"Yeah, but that was different, we were kids!" I reply, trying to keep my voice steady "That was ages ago!"

"Don't worry, it's just a quick sponge bath, I promise, ah the bath might be too small for us though, a shower then, besides, I've seen how you've been looking at me lately,"

"What does that even mean!? You think-" You shout and interrupt yourself, ok, you didn't want to do this but I might need to...
