Questions
The Courier headed straight to the Strip; the crown jewel of Ceaser's Legion, his new Rome. Despite the Omertas getting involved and trying to take over the Strip. The Strip was being built-up; nothing like the pre-war times but certainly a lot better than when the Omertas and NCR left it. The White Glove Society turned cannibals, in no small part due to the Courier, and sided with the Legion. With their influence the Legion were able to convince the other families to deliberately give up on their own power to Ceaser.
Vulpes Inculta had his spies and agents perform many subversive operations against the NCR hold out within the Strip. Ceaser had been delicate when taking the Strip; he had stripped his Eastern Legions so he could take the Strip. The balance of power was already on a seesaw; any level of secession could ruin his plans of conquest and the Legion stood to be consumed. Ceaser was lax on his normal policies, except for the common female citizen, not much changed. For the three families, nothing changed except for management. The Strip remained much the same, though more slaves walked the streets. The old NCR Embassy was taken over by Ceaser’s Legion. Angel noted the perturbing silence that came from the Strip and the reasonable downturn in business. Despite the many laws against gambling and **** in the Legion; Angel spent the night living it up. A night of revelry, booze, ****, and poor decisions. All to forget the nagging thoughts that clung, tooth and nail, to the back of her mind. The next day was spent recovering from her high. The memories of her fallen allies rushed back: Boone fought against the Legion, to some extent for freedom; Cassidy fought for the NCR, for freedom to some extent; Arcade fought the Legion, for freedom. A thought passed through her mind; the Legion took away freedom, would they come for her freedom. The thought crossed her like a hive of bees. It buzzed about her head. It pounded her feverish head. She spent the day ruminating on the Legion, considering her place in the Legion. Angel didn't have many goals in the Mojave. She didn’t really have any stake in the war. Angel had only joined the war since house couldn’t be trusted, the NCR was a bureaucratic state too large for its own good, and the Legion promised some challenging fun. Would that promise of challenging fun be in the bed? It concerned her a bit; for as far as she knew, she was a virgin. Kinda hard to remember such a small detail with your brains being blown apart. Shaken a bit she calmored out of the Strip, she needed to do something to keep those thoughts at bay. The courier made her way to Westside.
