Queen's River Stories: The Recruitment of Alice Whitecombe

“Hello, dear friends. I am Jocasta Monarch and I want to welcome you to another tale of our fine city: Queen’s River. As you know, Queen’s River is an Oedipal Zone, where the oldest son becomes an Alpha, gaining complete control of his family and any other Betas he adds to his harem.”

Jocasta uncrosses her legs as the camera pans out, making sure the viewer has a good shot of her panties.

“But like any other city, there can be a need for specialist skill sets, for people who can provide something the city itself does not have in the necessary quantity. That’s why Queen’s River has a number of recruiters, travelling all over the world to find those special people and offer them a place here with us. On a rare occasion, this even means a new Alpha will come to town.”

“This story is about a girl who became an Alpha in Queen’s River, and her life before and after we invited her to our fair city. I hope you enjoy tonight’s story of 'The Recruitment of Alice Whitecombe or: How She Learned to Stop Worrying and Fuck All the Bitches.'”

Alice Whitecombe, for most of her young life, seemed utterly unremarkable. High grades, but in all other aspects a grey mouse. Chubby, though not overly so. Glasses, but nothing that would draw the eye. A wallflower, mostly content to watch life from afar. Alice would never say the popular kids at school, led by the head cheerleader Heather made her life hell. Mostly because Alice tended to be quiet in any case. But Alice made an easy target for them, the mousy, shy girl that never fought back.

Alice never complained either. Not when they shut her in a locker and left her at the school overnight. Not when they broke her new camera after Heather falsely accused her of taking creepshots of her boyfriend. Not even when they upended a bucket of semen over her head after she became available for free use, shouting that this was the closest Alice would come to male affection.

That’s not to say there were no bright spots in Alice’s life. Her parents were loving, though quite wallflowers themselves. She had kind neighbours; Mr. Rogers from next door, a sweet retiree in his early seventies had even taken Alice’s virginity after she’d turned 18 and none of the boys at school had taken advantage of her new found free use status. While it wasn’t the sexual extravaganza she’d hoped for and fantasized about she felt it was a lot better then getting gangbanged the moment you turned 18 as had happened to other girls. Her only real regret was that due to his age, Mr. Rogers had only been able to perform once that day.

But what she most looked forward to were the moments she spent tutoring Chad, the quarterback of her high school. Of course, Chad was in a relationship with Heather but he was always nice to her during their sessions as she tried to teach him math. He never fucked her, but that only seemed to fuel Alice’s crush on him.

“Chad!” she giggled, pushing her glasses back up as they’d slipped down her nose. “We’re supposed to be studying, not gossiping and playing around!” Chad was the only person she felt she could be more than a shy quiet girl with. Slowly but surely over the past few months she’d gotten out of her shell during their meetings.

“It’s not my fault math is boring,” Chad grinned widely, his perfect teeth almost glinting in the sun like those of a moviestar. “Oh you’ve got a little something…” he reached out and touched her face, Alice almost swooned. “An eyelash.” He smiled. “Make a wish, Alice.”

Alice blew the eyelash away, as she stared at him, the wish as well as her desires clearly evident on her face before blushing and turning away. “I uhm… have to go,” she murmured. “Scholarship meeting in a bit, some people coming uhm to my house…”

“Oh? Congrats, Alice. Look at you, Ms. smarty...skirt?”

Alice blushed again. He noticed the new skirt! “Yeah I uhm, sent in a paper to a science contest and they want to meet, set everything up…” Alice grabbed her bag, avoiding Chad’s eyes. “So uhm… study chapter seven, I think you’ve got it. You’re going to nail the test tomorrow!” Her last words came out as a bit of a chirp as Chad stood up and hugged her.

“Thanks Alice, I don’t know how I would have passed without you. I guess this means an end to our little study sessions huh? If I pass I’ll get you the perfect gift. Something I’m sure you’ll be happy with.”

“Oh… Oh! Oh that’s not… that’s very nice uhm… but you don’t need to Chad… it was my pleasure, really…”

“Oh I insist” Alice almost skipped out of the house in happiness. A scholarship and now Chad subtly hitting on her… best day ever!

George Brandt was bored up to his eyeballs. Outwardly, the man looked like a kindly, if very well dressed, grandfather. Late sixties-early seventies, still a full head of greying hair. But studying him further gave a slightly different impression. Firstly, the man was far more fit then a regular old man; whenever he moved you could see muscles. He didn’t need a cane, his straight backed walk putting in mind a much younger man. His natural confidence, bordering on arrogance, cowed any room he put his mind to. But it was in the eyes that you could really tell. The eyes of a cruel predator, regarding everyone else to be beneath him.

“You go on to that recruitment without me, Mason. I’ve spent the entire morning listening to those local yokels blather on about safety measures and emissions and so on. I’m in no mood to try and impress a new Beta and convince her to join us.”

“Yes sir, I understand. She is an extraordinary talent though, sir. We just put in that last question of the contest as a joke. Professor Chalmers had been researching that for years and wasn’t expecting to solve it for at least another two. And she just hand delivered it to us, without any higher-level training in physics or math.”

Brandt waved it away. “That only proves Chalmer’s incompetence. Yet another Alpha unable to live up to their title.”

Mason shrugged. Chalmers had won a Nobel prize after solving one of the Millennium Problems and was considered to be an exceptional talent and all around respected Alpha. But Brandt demanded perfection and being outc-ompeted by someone who wasn’t an Alpha meant losing a great deal of respect from Brandt.

As Brandt often said: “We are Alphas because we are the best. Because we deserve to rule. Because the Betas and Locals need guidance that only we can provide. Therefore an Alpha must be superior to others in every way, to justify the power we have over others.”

In other words, a non-Alpha being better meant, in Brandt’s eyes, that you weren’t really deserving of being an Alpha. The amount of Alphas that believed as Brandt did were relatively small in Queen’s River. Most believed that Alphas were there to guide the others, to help them achieve their full potential. An Alpha tended to see it as a point of pride if their Betas performed well, as that reflected positively on their capabilities as an Alpha.

But Brandt himself was a powerful individual in Queen’s River, being the last living male Alpha founder. Only a very few would defy him to his face. Brandt had been, and still was, the fixer. He had a dangerous and shady reputation as well as persistent rumors of underworld connections. A number of people, both Alpha and otherwise, had disappeared after being considered a threat to the city. Or to Brandt himself.

“Oh and Mason?” Brandt said as Mason was exiting the limousine together with his mother and his briefcase filled with recruitment materials. “Leave your mother, I have some tension to work out back at the hotel and Brandy was exhausted after the gangbang this morning. I’ll send the car back after we arrive.”

Mason gulped, looking at his mother and back at his boss. He knew exactly how Brandt worked out ‘tension’. “Y… yes sir. Mom, you be good to Mr. Brandt…” He patted her hand in a reassuring manner.

“Good lad,” Brandt smirked, grabbing Mason’s mother and shutting the door, Mason hearing the sound of a hand sharply hitting an ass as they drove off.

“Now I know becoming a Beta or Local sounds scary, but really it isn’t.” The man in her living room, Trent Mason, was explaining the terms of the scholarship to her. She’d become a Beta, officially belonging to an executive of Orion Inc., which was a company that built shuttles. They’d recently won a big NASA contract and were heavily recruiting new talent. She’d work at the company part-time while studying. She’d be freely available for use by any of the company’s employees, though Alphas would have priority.

Being free use to a company didn’t particularly bother her. If anything, the smaller group of people allowed to fuck her might mean an uptick in her almost non-existent sex life. Actually working for a company that made space shuttles at the age of 19 felt like a bizarre dream come to life.

“In Queen’s River we have a very high standard when it comes to Beta and Local happiness. I’m sure you’ve googled us and come across countless testimonials. Besides which, as a Beta associated with Orion you’re a valuable asset.” He grinned. “If nothing else, you can believe in our desire for profit. Unhappy Betas are unprofitable Betas.”

Her parents seemed to eat out of his hand. The young man seemed very charming, very confident. Alice wondered if he’d take her after she’d signed the document. Her mother had offered him a blowjob as she’d brought out coffee and cookies but he’d declined, his mind seemingly elsewhere at first.

Trent didn’t really seem interested in her physically. Or her mother for that matter even though she was considered to be quite the beauty. And Alice had even dressed up for the occasion in what she thought Betas wore in Queen’s River, a short skirt and a top whose buttons threatened to burst under the pressure of Alice’s breasts. Her mother had approved. “About time you stopped dressing so frumpy. Now perhaps if you’d wear stuff like that at school I could be looking forward to some grandkids…” Alice had sighed in exasperation. Her mother had no idea!

But any time his eyes wandered or her mother suggested something sexual, Trent seemed distracted as if recalling something unpleasant. His mood had even soured for a moment after receiving a text message from his boss before recovering and continuing his pitch.

Alice was already sold but Trent insisted on waiting at least a day before signing anything. “It’s important to read everything thoroughly and think it over. It’s a big step Alice, becoming a Beta. Make sure that you’re sure. The contract is for five years, there’s no going back.”

Alice had even bent over, blushing the entire time as she flashed her panties to Trent and he’d barely noticed, receiving another message from his boss at the same time. He’d barely groped her as they said goodbye and arranged for another meeting tomorrow after school to sign all the papers. 'But no matter', Alice thought. ‘I’ll be out of this horrible town after graduation next month, away from that bitch Heather and off to a new life!’

Alice regretted being separated from Chad, but realized it would never have happened anyway. He was with that skank and that was that. But in Queen’s River, anything would be possible.
