Put the plan in motion

The duration on Jane's astral form was only expected to last about four weeks, and Emilia's estimation proved to be fairly accurate. On the morning where it occurred, three of you ended up in bed with one another, as a nude Jane found herself under the sheets next to yourself and a Jan who now found herself wearing very ill-fitting clothes, reminding you for the first time in a while that her body had been artificial--Jane had become so accustomed to being clothes that she seemed to need time to remember how exactly to move and talk!

But, that likely was not expected to last long. You drove the girls, temporarily looking as they had before the Ghost Machine had changed everything, to an examination by Emilia. At the mansion, both Emilia and her physician Yvette gave the girls a careful check-up.

"There's no notable degradation or other biological impacts that could be due to the effects of the machine, from what I can tell." Yvette took notes on a clipboard, after checking some machines hooked up to Jane. Despite her looking human again, her eyes seemed slightly distressed, like she had descended to a duller world. "The only thing seems to be that her mind has so well-adapted to the astral state, that her motor functions probably don't make as much sense anymore. Being limited by the physical world is likely not very enjoyable."

Emilia was conducting her own examination on Jan, since she had basically been enveloped by another person's energy for a month. Jan seemed rather unhappy to be seen as her 'normal' self after getting so used to the clothes around her. "No negative readouts here, either, other than feeling a little more self-conscious at the moment. I think you two would be cleared to leave, and--"

"Wait," Jane croaked out. "I want to go back."

Emilia quirked an eyebrow, turning back to Jane. "You know the payment I'm providing is one time only, yes? And that's already been issued. So any further use of the machine is purely for the astral experience."

Jane slowly nodded. "Fine. Just increase the duration. So I can return."

Jan bit her lip, tugging at Emilia's sleeve. "I think she and I need each other now. It's, well... we've made some new arrangements, and..."

Emilia turned to look at you next, a playfully curious expression on her face. "Tell me, John, is the wedding off due to these experiences?"

"Well, uh," you tried to play things off as just a natural, casual turn of events, "plan have changed, but a wedding is still in the works."

Emilia's grin slowly grows. "I see. This picture is coming into focus now. One is the body, one is the outfit, and together they are the woman you want to marry?"

You nodded.

"Very interesting," Emilia said, setting down some of her testing equipment. "I am happy to help in this case. Have you chosen a venue yet? I've always been told my mansion would be a lovely place for a wedding." Everyone's faces light up at that possibility, except for Alice, the staff at the door. She seemed to look slightly horrified at the possibility of wedding preparations.

You turned to Emilia. "We still need to do a couple logistical things, first. We needed this one day so Jane could come up with a long-term excuse to be gone from her family, and then we'll make new arrangements."

"Very well," Emilia said. "When you have made your arrangements, I will have the machine charged for use. I would like to observe how Jan looks afterward, if you find that suitable." Both you and Jan nod, as you took Jan's hand. Even though she was dressed in her old clothes, she had earlier described this situation as feeling rather naked and ****. It seemed she was eager to return to how things were.

The next couple hours were a whirlwind of phone calls and text messages to build a believable story. Jane was leaving for Europe. You found a new girl whom you love. The paper trail seemed rather convincing, you thought, and would be enough to get everyone to accept the situation, even if they weren't happy about it. Jane's mother was particularly displeased, as you could hear her yelling through the phone from across the room. Normally she was so sweet, but not this time, it seemed. You'd want to turn into a pile of clothes to avoid conversations like that too.

Once more, the moment had arrived: the trio of you stood in front of the Ghost Machine, as Jane turned to you with a smile. "It's... weird," she said. "I feel like I'm saying goodbye, but I'm not. If anything, I'll always be here! But, for now... I'll let you and Jan figure things out. I'll be her body, but at least until after the wedding, I'll let her do all the moving. I just want to... rest as clothes for a while. I don't know how to explain it, it sounds so stupid if I say it like that. But, you know where to find me if you need me." Jane leaned in for one final kiss, a simple peck without much passion in it--clearly, human sensations no longer interested her.

You stood next to Jan, waiting patiently as Jane stepped forward, touching the Ghost Machine. Once more, tendrils of electricity swarmed out of the metal dome upon contact, and enveloped Jane completely. She vanished, and her clothes tumbled to the ground. But they didn't stay put for long...

As all the times before, Jane seemed to enjoy playfully 'attacking' Jan with the outfit, and this time was no different. The bra and blouse, as well as panties and jeans, all rushed forward to swirl around Jan. The motions and **** of the clothes as they slipped over Jan's limbs, enveloping her slim form within the more curvaceous outfit, caused the woman to twirl around a few times, almost losing her footing, but the clothes were always there to catch her. A few moments later, Jan was dressed head to toe as Jane had been, and the woman gripped at the larger breast shapes the blouse made as if she had just found something she lost, before returning to you in a happy hug.

Emilia ran a few final tests, with Jan and Jane's participation. She was particularly interested in the dynamics of movement and control with the outfit, wanting to see how easily Jan could move someone else's body shape, while also curious to see that shape move her instead! Once Emilia had taken measurements as well as poked and prodded just about everywhere, she was satisfied.

"I imagine beachwear and the like would be a challenge, but if you're always able to keep covered up, I certainly wouldn't know the difference. If anything, some of these gaps would make for excellent pocket space with some custom-tailored outfits..." Emilia tapped her chin in thought, and smiled. "I'm rather jealous, myself. Jane, would you mind if I could try you first-hand? With your permission as well, Jan."

Both agreed, and you watched as Jan's outfit unbuttoned, unzipped, and flew off her body rapidly, while the clothes slipped onto Emilia's body more carefully, accounting for the woman's more fragile nature. Emilia posed before a mirror in the exam room when she had donned Jane's generous curves in place of her own. "Impressive... I'm certainly envious, Jan. While I don't think I could be moved around like you were, having a cushioned layer between my body and the outside world might save me from a few trips to the hospital without looking like I'm wearing protective gear. I'll have to think on this."

"If you've got a way to control her, I'd happily donate my mother to be your body," Jane joked. Or, half-joked, after that difficult conversation earlier.

Jane returned to Jan's body, and your new girlfriend wrapped her arms around you again, happy to squish her enhanced body shape against you once more.

You smiled down at her, kissing her forehead. "Ready to go home? Seems like you're in the driver's seat of that body for now, so might as well make the most of it, yeah?"

Jan nodded vigorously, and then smiled at Emilia. "Thank you for your help. We'll call you about the wedding plans!"

Emilia waved with a smile as you two departed. "Oh, I will certainly be in touch."

Once you were both in your car heading home, Jan couldn't stop beaming with joy the whole time on how everything has turned out. "I've got body shape of my dreams, the man of my dreams, a marriage, and with all that money, you're really going to get a new house soon, John? It's all so exciting..." Jan fidgeted in her seat. "Maybe tonight, we get in bed, under the sheets, and... and I'll show you what I can do with this body, all on my own..!"
