Aki responded calmly.

10 days had ticked down and away but luckily the home had been completed by her strong and hard working mates.

With everyone moved into the house, Aki chose which mates to share a bed with nightly... though tonight she'd favored Luon's bedroom since the cubs were due soon.

Midway through the night, Aki rolled over in discomfort. An unsettling cramp was running through her and causing great discomfort.

She muffled her uneven breathing, not wanting to alarm Luon just yet. It was only when her heavy breathing turned into throaty groans did her fox mate stir awake....

Aki's labor progressed long and hard through the night, her pained moans and groans alerting the house that she'd gone into labor. None dared to disturb since Luon was the one that had to help bring them into the world.

By the crack of dawn, Aki began crowning painfully. Her cries and screams were unlike any other birth she'd gone through.... the head soon crowned and nearly ripped her but as each shoulder followed, her exhaustion began to set in.. the final push took everything out of the young mother. But way to behold... crying weakly in Luon's hands was a beautiful, human newborn baby girl with jet black hair.

Their daughter cried and cried until she was placed in her mothers arms and warmly swaddled in a warm pelt blanket.

".......this... this... tell everyone... tell them I've birthed you a female daughter Luon..."

Aki felt a sense of swelling pride that she'd contributed to helping fix the female populus decline, even if only by one mere life.
