Punch and cookies

The sermon now over, Annita stood up. Taking the time to grab her book, she was happy that her first time at church had been so successful.

"You're not going to stay for punch and cookies?" Ludita inquired, watching her companion give a look at the moment. She hadn't thought about that part of the service. She was hungry. One or two cookies couldn't hurt, could they?

"I guess I could." Annita answered, finding herself getting led over to a table. There, a big bowl of punch waited with plate upon plate of cookies. Annita hadn't seen that many in quite some time. All of which looking absolutely delectable. They even had plates to put said cookies on and eat elsewhere with cups.

"Go on ahead. But do leave a couple for others." Ludita explained, watching Annita grab a whole bunch on top of a cup or two of punch. Following right behind her companion, she too grabbed a plate and some punch. Though, her plate was slightly more filled than Annita's at the moment.

Cookies now picked out, the pair took a seat on a bench. While not the most comfortable thing in the world, it would do for their chowing down on cookies.

"What did you think of the service?" Ludita continued, getting a thumbs-up from her companion as they gingerly ate their cookies. Sure, they didn't want to give off the impression that they were somehow not an old lady and instead a young trainer. While she had fooled Ludita, Annita felt... incomplete. Like she was not a true old lady, but instead a trainer stuck in the body of one.

She pushed those thoughts to the back of her head and focused on the cookies and punch. Absolutely divine, this was a more than adequate reward.

"I should get heading back." Annita explained, getting a nod from her friend in return. "See you next week?"

"Of course." Ludita answered, watching Annita throw away her plate and cups and head out the door.
