What rule is Diana considering?

Your gorgeous girlfriend links arms with you and leans in to murmur in your ear.

"I was wondering how you'd feel about me making things easier for myself at the office and a bit harder for you at the same time." You look at her curiously, so she continues. "I was thinking I could make it a rule that team leaders are responsible for their team's performance and have to take all associated punishments. I mean, it would only affect women, obviously, but if any of us got in trouble at work, you'd get spanked in our place. What do you think?"

You consider for a moment. She said it would be a bit harder for you, but it sounds brutal, taking every punishment for the entire team. On the other hand, the fact that your colleagues are getting spanked at all is down to you, so it's not exactly unfair.

"It sounds scary, but a lot of things do until we try them. There's no reason not to give it a go—we can always rub out the rule if we don't like it after all. I think you're wrong about it only affecting women, though. Men don't get spanked, but there are other consequences for them. If you don't want the rule to apply to them, you'll probably have to specify."

"You see, that's why I need your advice! I think we should still start small, though, like just our department."

"So effectively just me, Bella and Sylvia?" All the other team leaders in your department are male.

"Well, yes. Is that a bad idea?"

"No, not at all. Very sensible." More sensible than the way you started, changing the entire world. Besides, you have to admit the thought of Bella getting thrashed for any shortcomings of her team members is quite appealing. "Maybe other team leaders should be invited to watch any such punishments, to set an example," you add. Diana looks at you curiously, then seems to realize something.

"Oh, you want to watch Bella getting her licks!" Are you really that transparent? "You know that means she'll get to witness yours, too, right?"

"I'll just have to make sure my team's performance is exemplary." You shrug, as if it's that simple. "This wouldn't stop me spanking you, though?"

"No, but I'd far rather get spanked by you than an angry client or another colleague. So, are we going for it, then?"

"Sure. What's the worst that could happen? You'll have the Rulebook to fix any problems."
