Promise

Ethan promises, because really there is no other option.

Alex takes a moment, taking in a deep breath. "I'm worried if I grow boobs I won't be cute anymore..."

Ethan thinks hard on her words, not able to understand them strung together despite knowing each one. "What do you mean?"

"Well," she looks away, trying to avoid eye contact. "When I was little I was worried when I grew up I wouldn't be on the outside how I felt on the inside. In some ways I don't," she shrugs, "But I think nobody completely does... Anyways, not to sound full of myself, but I'm pretty cute."

Sighing, Ethan can't help but agree. Alex is, honestly, perhaps the most beautiful person in town, and that was saying something. Layla{if Ashley =true}, Ashley{endif} and if he was being honest with himself Charlie were also ridiculously good-looking, but Alex was just unreal.

Alex continues, sensing Ethan's agreement. "I think such a big change I might fuck up this.... Fuck..." she shakes her head, "Blessing I have? I don't know. I know my face isn't going to prune up if I grow a pair, but... Maybe I shouldn't tempt fate."

Taking a moment, Ethan says the only thing that he thinks he should. "You're beautiful, and you'll always be beautiful no matter what you decide," he reaches across the table, giving her hand a reassuring pat. "Boobs or no boobs."

Alex chuckles, her blue eyes finding Ethan's for the first time in several moments. "Boobs or no boobs... Shit... You make a pretty good friend."

Smirking, Ethan gives her a modest shrug. "Well we did say he wanted to be friends, right?"

"True," her smile becomes a smirk. "With benefits."
