The Principality of Nyior is well known as the alchemy center of the world. With trade connections primarily in the Kingdom of Ogomia and the Vajhabet Theocracy, Nyior still finds trade to and from in other nations as well. As a result it has gained itself much international power over its old rival, Lainmi. Nyior’s main economic strength is its alchemical exports, including both lifesaving medicines and unnecessary substances meant for recreational use, as well as base components for further chemical creations.

The capital of Nyior, Ecellon, houses the top alchemical university in the world, with the legendary Veshtadt Academy Towers as their chief place of learning. Within, academics debate recipes and the use of their brews for non-scientific purposes, and present essays on subjects they have no business engaging in, such as the magics of their neighbors, something they view as unpredictable and dangerous.
