Chapter 266 by SilverSpectre006 SilverSpectre006

What's next?

Man vs. Monster

"NNNNNYYYYYAAAAAAA-!"

Felix rushed onward, sprinting ahead as Perdilius left himself open for an attack. With his foot he delivered a swift kick to his abs, folding the half-breed and swinging a left then a right hook to his face. Perdilius leaned back, face bruised, and gently exhaled as he turned to face him. He let out an eerie cackle as he raised his right fist over, showing off his teeth and he beamed in disgusting delight.

WOOOSH!

WOOOSH!

One by one, Felix jumped back in time to evade each mighty punch, feeling its momentum ripple through the air causing his brown hair to wave. Each punch was rather clumsy, though the force and size caused Felix's heart to kick into overdrive. It was the third swing Perdilius began to charge when Felix felt his back press onto the cold wall and panic began to sink in.

CRASH!

He lept under the cannon of a punch Perdilius had launched, which proved sufficient enough to cause the wall to topple over, creating a new doorway to an empty cell room. Felix slipped between his large legs, hurrying back on his feet as he felt his claws scratch over the smooth surface. Squeezing his fist, Perdilius recognized his next move and swung around, catching Felix right as he turned to face him. Something crunched on impact and Felix was sent sliding across the hallway with a red mist falling before him.

Looking down at his knuckles, Perdilius took a sadistic joy in watching wet blood drip down his fingers. He squeezed the liquid under his palm and looked forward as the two prisoners kept speechless. He turned sharp to stare at Na'Vi through her bars, terrifying her as she stepped back without hesitation, bringing a smile to his face.

Felix felt his ears ring, feeling a hundred pounds heavier in every portion of his body. Just lifting his arm became a struggle, but forcing himself to sit up proved effective in eliminating this feeling of fatigue over him. His face was a red mess, it was pouring down his mouth and chin and he soon realized he could not smell. Cupping his nose, he moved back on his feet and felt his nose had gone crooked on impact.

"What's wrong, did I break you so soon? Don't know my own strength." Perdilius smirked, flexing his knuckles enough for his fingers to pop.

Felix glared back, holding his nose between both hands and inhaling deeply from his mouth as he closed his eyes. Without a second to think twice, he twisted his hands and gasped, shouting briefly as more blood began to seep from his nostrils. He wiped his nose and to his relief he was able to smell again.

That act was enough to freeze Perdilius in his steps. "Oh? I didn't realize you had it in you, not too many are aware how to do that."

"Take it from an orphan who was raised as a slave, if there is any lesson in life it's to learn how to survive."

"Ah, a wise selection of words and undoubtedly true in its simplicity. It is the golden rule all life shares unanimously, hunter or hunted, predator or prey, Monster or not. But how to decide who is worth the gift of life? Nature has intended one to die in order for one to survive, we feast on each other and betray friends and family in order to satisfy our desires. When the killing becomes unnecessary, unjust, when we cannot separate our wants from our needs, when we lack self-control and selflessness, that is when we are overwhelmed in sin. Evil begins to thrive when good steps aside and does nothing, that is why one must step forward and make the hardest choice for us all and rid the world of sin!"

Felix sneezed, feeling a sharp pain inside. Shaking his head, he became aware of large heavy feet slamming down as the half Giant ran towards him, cupping his head with an open palm.

With a wicked grin, Perdilius slammed his hand hard enough to create a crater into the ground. His eyes shot open as the dust settled and he realized nothing was there. Puzzled, he felt a pair of legs cross around his waist as Felix appeared behind him, leaning over his shoulder with his hands to the half-breed's chest.

"We accept our sins by atoning... so get ready to set an example for yourself."

Felix dug his claws into the hardened flesh, penetrating through each layer as a deep red blood began to drip from his claws.

"What about your sins!?"

With a ferocious cry, Felix pulled back and dragged his claws up until they latched onto Perdilius' shoulders, leaving a deep trail across his chest.

"GGRRRAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!"

Perdilius threw his head back, screaming until his lungs gave out. Panting and gasping, he closed his eyes and clenched his fists as his chest began to be painted in red.

"Don't you make a mockery of my pain, my sins are mine alone to burden. I know what I am, and where your place lies!"

Reaching back, he grabbed Felix by his head and flung him forward like a loose towel to the floor before him. He landed hard on his back, bouncing once with a heavy groan. It took him several seconds to stir, rubbing his head as those heavy footsteps continued toward him at a calm pace.

"Those Monsters are parasites, they exist only to sin and to kill!"

"You're no better killing Monster Girls, manipulating your followers and rejecting your son! And you parade yourself like some sort of prophet, thinking you're the one who gets to decide for us? Why do you hate them so much, Perdilius?"

"Those creatures are a plague of our era! They endanger our livelihood, corrupt our kingdoms and rape our wives and husbands! Killing Monster Girls is the only way to ascend to our salvation!"

"BULLSHIT! The only way to handle Monster Girls is with love." Felix growled, watching as Perdilius had now stepped over him with a raised fist.

"Love!?" Perdilius repeated with a look of bewilderment. A chill ran through his neck as his eyes widened and he began to chuckle to himself. "That's not possible between us and them. Introducing those creatures into our lives is only welcoming a dagger to our hearts."

Felix bent forward just as Perdilius swung his fist to his head.

"The next thing you know, they steal your lover away and leave your life in ruins!!!"

"Ouch!"

Nukka spun around, pushing the Nekomata from her side with the bump of her large hind. Another slash to her thigh prompted the bear to softly move her leg back, launching the other Nekomata several feet away. She looked around, wondering where her Zimi was when something lept to her back and bit into her fur. Lucky for her, she always had thick skin under her fur which was natural for bears to protect them from harsh freezing temperatures. Though none of their cuts were deep enough to draw blood, they still hurt and she began to notice a loss of fur where the markings were obvious.

"This is starting to hurt." She pouted, seamlessly flicking the Nekomata away from her back with the slap of her paw. No matter how many cat girls she fought off, they continued to overwhelm her three at a time, and they always went for her legs and back. "Please stop, this hurts!"

Dimyri had returned, finding a Nekomata she recognized as one of the girls who would teased her sister Nityri when they were little. This one was knawing at Nukka's right thigh. Dimyri frowned and dug her fingers into the cat girls hair, pulling hard only to be met with resistance when her tails slapped Dimyri's hands away. They left a red bruise on her hands, which made the woman huff as she then stepped on those tails hard.

"MEW!" The Nekomata cried when Nukka looked back and accidentally brushed her away with her paw, knocking her unconscious. She glanced down to see Dimyri in the midst of the firefight happening around them.

"Oh it's Dimy! How is Dimy, where is Zimi?"

"Hey Nukka, we need to get those collars away from the girls. Do you think you can- Nukka behind you!"

Nukka tilted her head and flinched when something pinched her shoulder. Glancing over, Nukka stared at the young Nekomata growling and biting her shoulder hard, shaking her head and tugging at her fur. With gentle care, she swatted the girl atop her head, letting her slump over and collapse to the ground.

Dimyri moved to her body and undid the collar from the girls neck, showing it to her friend. "These things, they're the ones making our friends into bad guys! Can you help me take them off?"

"Bad guy?" Nukka looked puzzled, scratching her head. "Nukka thought they were playing."

Dimyri huffed, she was sweet but this was serious. "Just help me knock them unconscious or hold them down, please?"

No sooner had she said that did Nukka turn back and grab another kitten, trapping her in her paws and holding her up for Dimyri to grab. "Like this?"

"Yes, perfect!" Dimyri nodded, ripping the collar out from her. The Nekomata snarled when her eyes returned to their normal color as she suddenly began to faint. "Huh, they must be exhausted."

"We do play hard so." Nukka smiled sheepishly, dropping the girl. "Is Nukka helping?"

"More than you know." Dimyri grinned, ducking in time as another cat girl pounced over her.

SLAAMMM!

Felix had rolled away in time through incredible speed, breathing hard as he began to sweat. Perdilius looked up from the hole his hand caved through and smiled.

"That increased speed is getting to be annoying."

Felix lept to his feet, brushing the dirt from his chest and being careful not to scratch himself. "It's Lucina, isn't it? The name of your wife, the lover they stole from you?"

This had the priest's smile fade quickly, scowling as he began walking toward the man.

"We aren't getting anywhere like this, why don't you stand still and let me hit you? Just one tap and it will all be over soon."

Felix dashed forward, arriving to face him up close. Perdilius took advantage and swung hard only for Felix to crouch under and climb against the wall on all fours before pouncing on his back. His claws dug in well as he dragged his weight down, making use of Perdilius as his scratch post. With a heavy grunt, the half Giant swung his arm back and managed to push Felix against the other wall, hitting the back of his head hard.

Na'Vi stepped back as Felix fell against her door, crying out when a large hand bursted through the side before pulling away. She could hear Perdilius grunting hard as more craters were made, was Felix really able to dodge him this long? Looking through the hole, she caught Felix scurrying beneath the large man between his legs, moving around and keeping away from his stomping feet. At last, he swiped along the back of one leg, forcing Perdilius on one knee as Felix climbed over and sunk his fangs into his shoulder hard. His eyes widened when Perdilius caught his hand before pulling him forward to face him. Just as Felix swung his free hand, Perdilius caught it too and began crushing his fists under his strength.

"Hhnnn-nnNNYYAAAAAAA-AAAH!" Felix cried out, feeling his hands burn under the overwhelming strength, his own claws forced to stab into his palm.

"Repent! Repent!" Perdilius took great joy crushing this man's hands down, watching as Felix fell to his knee this time.

"HHRNNN-NYA!!! Aaaahh!!" Felix turned and twisted his arms, fighting for release and failing. It was too much.

"Your speed was your only advantage and you lost it. I suppose you really are her mate, she failed all the same in her own similar means. Though I guess I should be thanking you both. First she leads me to her clutter, and now you bring your own clutter back to me. It's almost poetic, a Monster's stupidity knows no bounds haha! They really are less than humans in the end."

Felix grit his teeth together, slowly pushing himself back from his knee. With a forced grunt, he pulled himself from his hold and swept his feet to land on Perdilius' smug face. Now he was able to carry himself in the air, using Perdilius' grip as his leverage to keep his shoes pressed hard onto the Giants large face. Na'Vi and Reta stared as Felix kept Perdilius quiet this time, his heel was stepping on his mouth after all, as this act left both men struggling for their next attack.

"You talk too much! Sh-shut up, shut up and f-FUCKING GIVE!" Felix shouted, mustering the strength in his thighs and calves to push down hard. Perdilius groaned under the pressure, refusing to reduce the crushing strength around Felix's hands. One eye of Perdilius remained exposed between Felix's legs, glaring furiously at the farm boy as both continued to struggle under each other. One of them has to give, or both will suffer more.

The question is, who will break first?
