Brooke Ainsworth: 9.0 out of 10, superficial good girl

I send a quick message to Binita. "Drop hints that you've got a great way to get the perfect guy, but be subtle." Hopefully that will build some interest until Binita's blonde gym bunny friend is asking her for help picking out a man. A girl that hot won't be single for long, so we'll have to move on her soon.

That's all I can do about that now, so I turn back to Caitlin. "Okay, we need to do something about Brooke being a virgin."

Caitlin's eyes go wide. "Are you going to... **** me... to help you capture that poor girl with your app so you can corrupt her?" She's licking her smiling lips and her eyes are fluttering as she says this.

"Oh yeah. You're my sick, little ****, and you're going to help me turn that chaste, church going girl into my personal fuck-toy. You have ****."

Caitlin bites her lip as I tell her she has ****. I glance over at Brooke by the door, but she's looking at her phone and doesn't see her professor getting worked up.

"Alright, focus," I tell Caitlin. "I want to try something different with Brooke." I quickly explain my plan, including a couple different ways it could go and how she should handle them. When she's got it all I walk away saying, "Thanks for your help, Prof. Barnes!"

I leave the lecture hall and go to Caitlin's office. I actually go past it and hide around a corner not too far away. When I hear two sets of footsteps go into her office, I move closer and listen.

"Leave the door open a crack. The air conditioning is broken," says Caitlin. It's not, I told her to say this. "Don't worry about someone overhearing, the building completely clears out after the last class. So, we haven't talked for a few weeks. How has everything been going?"

Brooke's voice sounds frustrated. "Bad. It's all bad. You know how I told you that I lean on my best friends for support? Well, they've both started having sex. They spend all their time with their new boyfriends, and I never even see them anymore."

"That happens sometimes," says Caitlin. "Sometimes people change as they get older. They figure out what they really want."

"What I want is..." and Brooke starts describing some boring, church approved romance where the guy and the girl hold hands for four years of courtship or some shit like that. I stop paying attention after a minute. I pull out the app and swipe through the recently added girls, just to clear out the queue. While I'm in the app, I decide to look at the "Member Perks" tab and double check the description of the "Forget This" perk. I've never gone back and looked at the traits, so I'm surprised that it has extra details that weren't available when I picked it.

"Forget this: Any time you follow a command with the words “forget this”, the girl will forget you gave her the command, but still follow your instructions. However, without one of the Unawareness traits, she still may figure out that you made her do something.

If you give multiple commands in a row, say "forget these" after the last command. This will have the same effect on the full string of commands.”

Whoa, that's useful! I wonder if any of the traits that I didn't pick are more useful than I thought, too. No time for that now, I need to pay attention.

"Those sound like wonderful goals for a relationship," says Caitlin. "But the first step is finding the right guy for you!"

Brooke sighs. "That's the impossible part. Every guy who asks me out assumes that just because I wear nice clothes, I must be easy to get into bed."

'Nice clothes'? Seriously? Today she's wearing a cleavage-baring crop top and the tightest jeans I've ever seen!

"You're letting guys select you," says Caitlin. "You need to select the guy! Be choosy, find the perfect one, then completely give yourself to the man you're destined to be with."

"But... I can't approach guys!"

"You don't have to! It's the 21st century, we have technology for meeting people!"

"You mean like dating apps?" says Brooke with a little disgust. "Those are just for hookups."

"No, no, no. They can be so much more than that if you find the right one. I recently used one called the Ultimate Dating App. I found a terrific man immediately. He's... incredible." Caitlin's voice softens here. "He's amazing. I'm absolutely in love with him. I'd do anything for him."

Fucking rein it in, Caitlin. This is too much!

Or maybe not, since Brooke says, "Wow, that sounds amazing, Prof. Barnes! Is that why you've been dressing differently lately?"

"Yes! I'm doing lots of things differently now because of him! Being with a man who knows what I need is so freeing! You can find your perfect man, too! You should try this app!"

"Well, I don't know. Will you help me pick the right guy?"

"Of course!"

I wait outside the door as Brooke finds the app and downloads it. I was very specific about this part with Caitlin. I can't wait for Brooke to go through every guy in the world until she gets to me, I need her to look at just the guys on the UDA.

I peek into the office. Brooke is sitting in front of Caitlin's desk with her back to me. Caitlin is leaning over her shoulder, helping her with the app.

"That's a good bio," says Caitlin. "Yes, that picture will attract just the right guys. Okay, go ahead and submit your profile."

I refresh the app, and yep, there's a new profile waiting for me to view it. Brooke's profile photo is of her in front of a church, side-hugging an old priest, wearing a full length dress and no makeup. She still looks hot. I swipe right immediately.

"Swipe left on him," says Caitlin. "No, no, not that one either."

"Really?" says Brooke, holding back. "He's super cute!"

"Don't get hung up on looks, dear. We're trying to find something special." Brooke swipes left, and Caitlin continues. "Not him, no, not that one, wait! Yes, him, he's perfect!"

"Him?" I can hear the I'm-too-good-for-him bitchiness in her voice. "He... he really doesn't look the way I imagined my Prince Charming."

"Read the profile," prods the professor.

There's a moment, and then Brooke laughs. "Yeah, that's kind of funny, although I don't get what the penguin was doing with the stick."

Caitlin pats the naïve girl on the back. "You need the right personality, not the right nose or body weight. Plus, there's something else. He's in your class."

"He is?" says Brooke. "He doesn't look familiar. I'm pretty sure I've never seen him in class."

"He is! He's in the class we just finished up. It's a sign! You can't ignore something like this! This is perfect!"

"Well... okay." Brooke swipes right.

I get a little notification ding on my phone at the same time as Brooke. She turns around and looks through the door, but I duck back before she sees me.

"Was there a sound from outside?" asks Brooke.

"No, I just heard your phone ding," says Caitlin. "What does the message say?"

The girl turns back and checks her phone. "It says... that I've been captured by Greg... and I have to follow his orders now?"

"Wow," says Caitlin. "I didn't get a message like that." Total lie, but she's following my instructions. "This must be the app's way of saying that you two have very compatible personalities."

"No," says Brooke very quietly. "I... I don't think so. It feels... true. It feels like I really do belong to him now. Like... he owns my soul."

Knowing what's coming next, I set my phone to silent to avoid another audible ding. The next notification message comes in right after.

C) Safety Lock (New!): Girls you match with will automatically have certain restrictions. Unless you order them to, they will not be able to tell anyone about being captured or do anything to hurt or hinder you. This takes effect the moment they are captured."

Interesting. It looks like the app is still getting updates. Now I just need to pick one of these and get back to my plan for Brooke.
