Looks like it!

After 40 minutes of wasting time watching YouTube videos and just waiting around, I notice it’s started raining outside. Pretty hard actually. For some reason that amuses me. Serves Binita right, having to trudge through the rain to see me. Why does it serve her right? I don’t know… I guess the dating apps have made me pretty bitter towards women. Maybe I should see someone about that? Or, if this app is the real deal, that should be therapy enough.

After another 10 minutes, my phone rings and I recognize the number as my apartment building’s front desk.

“Hey, there’s a Binita here to see you,” the doorman says.

Holy shit holy shit holy shit. It’s real? I have a girl at my command?? Or is this Binita girl insane and just playing along with all this?

After no reply from me, the doorman asks, “Should I send her in?”

“Yeah,” I croak out.

And two minutes after that, there’s a knock at my door. I open it and standing there is Binita… dressed in a denim jacket, a black shirt, and tight jeans. Oh, she is also soaking wet from head to toe. Which probably explains why she has her arms crossed, hugging herself as though to warm up.

She has her head down staring at the ground with dark, wet hair hiding her face. Well, if the app is real and she really is at the beck and call of me, a total stranger, I can understand being a little nervous.

“Come in,” I say. And she does, without looking up at me.

She takes a few steps into my apartment and returns to simply standing with her arms crossed, staring at the floor.

“Hi,” I say.

She does not respond.

“Aren’t you going to say hello?” I ask.

At that, she simply stares daggers at me. Whoa. She does not look happy.

“What’s wrong?” I ask.

That wakes her up. “Are you fucking kidding me?” she asks.

When I don’t say anything, she starts ranting, “You made me cancel a date I’ve been looking forward to all week! I really like this guy and I’ve been out with him a couple of times already. This was going to be our third date and YOU made me cancel it! And these days, with people you meet on the apps… it’s a fucking **** sentence if you cancel like that at the last minute. I’m sure he won’t see me again!”

Then she looks back down.

Well… those are some pretty good reasons to be mad at me I guess. But… but… fuck her! If she likes this guy so much, why is she still on the dating apps!

Anyway, now that’s she’s here… what do I do?
