Alexander Halladay, House Minerval

• Name, appearance, personality, desires and fears: Alexander Halliday isn’t exactly what one might call a “masculine man”. Rather, with his average stature, ear length dark coppery red pixie cut, slender shoulders, supple thighs, and a particularly curvy butt; many would call him rather feminine. Especially from behind. Not that this bothers him in the slightest, rather, he enjoys how he looks. To some girls he’s cute, so some boys he’s hot; and he isn’t about to complain about either opinion. No, he’s a fun-loving, earnest (if occasionally impish), and compassionate young man who always seems to take it upon himself to try and brighten every room he’s in, even if he doesn’t always know when to stop. More than anything, he wants to accel in magic and make his family proud, but more than that, he want’s to make himself proud. His greatest fear is that he will fail, that he’ll end up alone because of his shortcomings.

• How the character came to the Academy: The Halladay family has been prominent within certain circles for generations, a well-known wizarding house renowned for its research into the fields of transmutation and illusion. As with every member of the family since his great-great-grandfather Silas Halladay, Alexander was accepted as a legacy admission, which is part of what fuels his anxiety over his performance.

• Distribute +2, +1, 0, -1 across the Traits: Alexander’s basic traits are Ambition +1, Bravery -1, Cunning +2, and Diligence 0. His strong point is his cunning, his intellect, and his creativity, but his weak point is his bravery and physicality. Being raised in the Halladay household he was expected to accel in magical theory and technique along with the rest of his academics, but physical training was never a priority, and he never really learned how to stand up to authority.

• Which Academic House chose them: Halladay was chosen by Minerval, which suits him just fine given his level of cunning and intellect. This house grants him access to the Mind Meld Sex Move.

• Choosing two specials: Alexander chooses to add +1 to his diligence to mark the levels of study and expectations present in his home life, and to gain one advanced spell to reflect the fruits of his family’s research.
