Chapter 6 by Luke575 Luke575

Where does he wake up?

A surprisingly soft couch

I came too with only one thought, I’m never drinking that much again. My mouth and throat felt like sandpaper, my head was pounding and my memory was fuzzy from the night. My eyes stayed closed as I tried to piece it together, until I remembered the cop from last night and bolted upright, making my headache flair and a groan to escape my lips.

I cautiously opened my eyes as I rubbed my aching head. I was on an unfamiliar white sofa. It had a little bit of give to it, but was firm enough that I didn’t have an ache in my back at least. Thank god for small favors I suppose. I looked around and quickly realized this was somewhere I’d never been before. There was a landscape painting above my head, a typical light wood coffee table in front of me, a big smart tv across the room and matching armchairs on either side of the table.

Thankfully, whoever put me to bed here was an angel. They had left me a glass of water on the coffee table, which I greedily chugged down, inadvertently letting some dribble down my chin. One problem down, now I just need a bathroom and a tooth brush. Unfortunately, since I didn’t know where I was or with whom, I didn’t want to just wander the house looking for it. With a sigh I resigned myself to patiently awaiting whoever my savior was from last night. They must have bailed me out or intercepted me on the way to the drunk tank or something. I was really looking forward to thanking them.

Finally, I heard footsteps approaching and sat up straighter to try and be as presentable as possible.

Who saved him?
