Battle – the second stage

“Svennn!!!” Rosa turned to see her fifth sibling, Seven’s twin, breaking through the lines and charging at the goblin chief.

Rosa made a quick decision. The ballista was too dangerous to be left operating.

“Follow me!” She called to her retinue as she cut through the goblins. With her skills, they were easy opponents to her. Just folder to cut through – it would be a different story with goblin chief or his bodyguards.

The five of her retinue started advancing cutting through the goblin line. As they detached from their main lines, it became harder. There were countless goblins surrounding them. They were inferior opponents, but they were just swarming them.

Hearing a short scream, she turned to the side just in time to see one of her warriors falling to the ground with an axe lodged into her back. Another of her veterans fell to the ground, swarmed by the goblins, and quickly knocked out.

Finally, they broke through – Rosa, Kari and two of her veterans – and they made a dash for the war engine. It took them some time, but finally, breathing heavily, they arrived at the destination – only to face almost naked female elven slaves brandishing their weapons against them. Not all of them, but some of them.

Rosa cursed as she attacked. They were more skilled than goblins – even in their broken states. And the time was quickly escaping… They could take them alive, but it would be time-consuming and risky.

Deflecting the spear, Rosa gave an order.

Finally, with the slaves taken care of and the goblin slew, Rosa took a breath and looked around.

Just in time to see her sister slaying the goblin Chief. Rosa smiled, allowing herself to relax a little. The battle was won. She frowned.

Why were the goblins not breaking?

Her head snapped and her eyes widened at the sight she saw – there was another goblin **** moving behind their army! Behind their lines, the orc Chief stood with his bodyguards.

Her eyes moved by to her sister – she was being swarmed by the goblins.

Moments later Rosa lost sight of her, as she disappeared under the green bodies.

She looked in the direction of her Mother’s forces. Already, the Ruth army morale’s was taking a hit. They started backing, trying to escape being surrounded. Rosa knew what would happen next – a route.
