Surprise arrival

When you arrive at the castle, you’re surprised by who you find in the dining room. As you walk in, Rachel and Elys smile at you, sipping coffee as they wave.

“Well, this is a surprise! I know why you’re here Elys, we had to move out. But Rachel, I thought you were handling the AWIO?”

Rachel smiles at you. “Nice to see you too, Josh.”

You laugh. “Sorry, it’s been a long day. I’m happy to see you both!”

Rachel grins. “I know, I’m teasing you. And the AWIO...isn’t really much more than an embassy now. With the director gone and the portal being two way, there’s less to do.”

You nod. “Well, it’s good to have you back.”

Rachel smiles. “Elys has been getting me caught up. Knocked up Maya, hmm?”

You blush. “Well...Anna too...”

Both girls laugh. Elys shakes her head. “That’sss not shocking. She’sss wanted it at leassst asss long asss Maya.”

Rachel nods, smiling. “And I’m sure there will be more! I’ve seen how Lynn and Kali look at you, Josh.”

You chuckle. “And Clarissa and Yura seem interested lately too. You girls aren’t catching the baby bug, are you?”

They both shake their heads. Rachel smiles. “I’m happy being auntie Rachel, thanks.”

Elys nods in agreement. “I’ll be backup mom for Maya. That’sss plenty for me!”

As if summoned by name, Maya bounces into the room. “Elly! Yay, you’re here!”

She runs over and hugs the gorgon, who laughs. “Babe, only my mom callsss me that!”

Maya giggles. “Well, if Josh can put up with being called daddy and Joshie, you can handle being Elly. I’d call you mommy, but apparently that’s Rachel...”

Rachel blushes, and you laugh.
