Rosa could not accept it. Would not accept it!

To be reduced to a breed-mare for some backwater lord? Without any power? With little chance of her child becoming a lord? With being barely higher than a sex ****?

“Mother, please give me some time and I will acquire those lands for you! Without a need for me to be given away!” Rosa said as she licked her lips. “Besides, if you want to sell me, shouldn’t you find a more appropriate candidate? I am worth so much more...”

Rosa stopped speaking as Lady Ruth slammed her cup on the table.

“And that’s the problem with you. Always scheming, always lying, always toying with others. I agreed to the deal, to have you removed from court! If I left you, your little games would have torn this place apart!” She got up and walked up to Rosa.

At that moment someone run into the room – one of the guards. She immediately fell on one knee.

“My Lady, a large band of Goblins was sighted, moving to the Jur village!”

Lady Ruth cursed.

“Gather everyone! We will deal with those vile little critters!” She turned to Rosa. “I have made my decision” And with that, she left.

Rosa knew that once their mother makes her mind, there is little that could be done for her to change her decision. She was just that stubborn!

Rosa shook her head.
