Ask why your rescuers are so big

“You are human right?” You ask, deciding to use the time to better understand the situation you’ve found yourself in.

“Of course.” Amanda laughs.

“How did you get so big?” You continue your questions.

“Because we’re adults.” She replies. “Surely your mommy and daddy explained this to you. When you’re ready to grow up to the next stage, your parents ask a doctor to prescribe growth treatment. Peter and I have grown up all the way.”

“Why do you make yourselves larger?” You continue.

“Because that’s how everyone knows we’re grown-ups silly.” She answers.

“It also means we are big enough to keep babies like you in line.” Peter adds. “It would be really hard to spank you if we were the same size.”

The vehicle finally enters a garage and lands. Amanda takes you out and wraps you in the blanket. “I’ll get the doctor to take a look at him.” Amanda tells Peter. “Could you find a social worker and get them up to speed?”

“No problem.” Peter heads off in a different direction.

You pass many other giants until Amanda stops and knocks on an enormous door.

“Come in?” A woman’s voice answers.

“Hello, Dr Anagonye.” Amanda greets the woman as she opens the door. “Peter and I found this little guy all alone out in the middle of nowhere. Could you please give him a checkup to make sure there’s no problems we need to know about. I think his name is Robert.”

“Okay. Put him on the bed.” The doctor says. “I’ll look him over.”

Amanda unwraps you and places you on the bed as instructed.

“Let’s have a look at you.” Dr Anagonye says, clearly not taking your request seriously. She pokes and prods your naked flesh all over. Finally, She runs some sort of scanner over you and tells Amanda “I don’t think there’s any reason to be concerned. He looks perfectly healthy. The scan says that he’s about 400 years old. It’s a bit unusual for parents to keep their children in the infant stage that long but it’s not unheard of.”

“400?” You laugh at the absurdity. “Do people even live that long?”

“They live much longer than that sweetie.” Amanda reassures you. “That’s why parents can keep their children as babies for so long.” She thanks the doctor and wraps you up in the blanket again. On the way out of the room she runs into Peter.

“Rebecca is waiting for you in her office. I’ve told her everything we know about Robert here.” He informs her. “I’m going to get to work figuring out where his parents are.”

“Thanks. Rebecca’s a good social worker.” Amanda replies “I’ll drop him off in her office then come help.” She carries you up to another door, pushes it open and steps into an office. “Hello Rebecca. Thank you for taking this case on such short notice.”

“It’s alright Amanda. I wasn’t busy.” The other woman, taking you from . “Hello Robert.” She smiles at you as Amanda leaves. “I’m Rebecca. It’s my job to make sure you’re safe and taken care of.”
