Not quite

Hermione was sleeping, warmly and soundly in the Gryffindor common room without a stitch or care in the world.

It was around one in the morning, however, that she suddenly felt really cold. She tried to lift the robe she had been using as a blanket up to her shoulders, but she couldn't find it. She realized that she was once again naked in the common room!

Her eyes slowly opened to look around the room. Not too far from her was Gilpy the house-elf, folding the robe neatly.

"Gilpy!" Hermione exclaimed.

Gilpy jumped. "Gilpy is sorry, miss! Please don't be angry with poor Gilpy! Gilpy just saw that miss was sleeping and using the robe as a blanket, miss!"

With a snap of Giply's fingers, a silken comforter fell onto Hermione's lap. "Gilpy meant to replace the robe with a real blanket to make miss more comfortable as she slept!"

"It's... It's fine Gilpy." Hermione yawned. It seemed this house-elf, while willing to clean the castle if it meant leaving her naked, did seem to care about Hermione, somewhat. She didn't bother to raise the blanket to cover her breasts. "I'm sorry, I was just surprised, is all..."

Gilpy smiled weakly as he continued to fold the robe.

Hermione had an idea. "Hang on, Gilpy... I had a question for you."

Gilpy turned around, his bat-like ears flapping as he turned his head. Hermione was reflected twice in his large eyes. "Yes, Miss? How can Gilpy be of service?"

"Well... Yesterday, there was a robe on a portrait hook, and before there were robes hanging from the suits of armor in the entrance hall. Did you take those to the laundry, or did someone else grab them?"

"Gilpy did it, miss!" He looked proud to have performed the job Hermione had given him. "Gilpy has asked the other house-elves to keep an eye out for these robes all over the castle! They tells him so Gilpy can do a good job for miss! Gilpy has already taken those robes to the laundry miss!"

Hermione breathed a sigh of relief. "You've done a fantastic job, Gilpy." Gilpy bowed low, his long nose almost touching the floor.

Hermione yawned. She was still rather tired.

"Gilpy has a question for miss, if miss is ok with it..." Gilpy's eyes were wide, somewhat nervous to ask someone above his station a question.

"Of course, Gilpy," Hermione responded in a kind voice. She didn't want Gilpy to be scared of her.

"Well, miss... The three Slytherin misses came to the kitchens last night... They said miss was..." He was bunching up the tea-towel toga he wore into balls in his hands, "that miss wanted to mate with a house-elf?"

Hermione blushed. She'd have to pick her words carefully, since she knew that house-elves were somewhat literal-minded. "Well...," she began, "It's not something I had come up with... It's nothing against you, of course!" She saw Gilpy looked slightly crestfallen. "It's more like... It's a dare. A challenge I'm taking. It could have been any non-human on the grounds, but I didn't want to **** anyone into it..."

Hermione looked into Gilpy's eyes. "I... I don't suppose any of the house-elves volunteered, did they, Gilpy? I only wanted to do it if one of you was ok with it."

Gilpy looked nervous. "There was... a volunteer, miss." It seemed there was information he didn't want to say.

Hermione decided to not pressure him. The fact that there was a house-elf that was ok with it was good enough in her eyes.

"Thank you, Gilpy. You've been a real help."

Gilpy smiled, bowed again with the robe he had folded under his arm, and vanished.

Hermione yawned. She was so cozy in the chair with the silk comforter that she began to drift off to sleep again right there. Only eight more of those borrowed robes was the last thought she had to herself before she fell asleep once more.
