Chapter 109 by Jpyric Jpyric

“Should we eat and get ready to go?”

A fair experience

You wait outside your house for Sadie, dressed casually in a pair of shorts and a band T-shirt. Sadie asked you to wait here so you could get ‘the full experience’ of picking her up for the date. Figuring it was harmless to indulge the excitable djinn, you agreed. As the front door swings open and Sadie bounces out, you can’t help but groan a little.

Sadie dressed up as a schoolgirl.

She is wearing a red and black tartan skirt that only drops to mid thigh, paired with knee high socks and sneakers. She has a white blouse that is tied off at the bottom, showing off her toned, pale blue midriff. She even has her mass of blue hair in a ponytail to complete the look.

She is beautiful, no doubt, and the outfit shows a teasing amount of blue skin, especially as she runs to you. You are sure you catch a glimpse of pink panties under her skirt as the djinn leaps into your arms. Hugging you tightly, she presses her body against you and giggles.

“What do you think? Wanna take this little schoolgirl to the fair? I promise to be a good girl!”

You chuckle. Despite her innocent act, there would be no confusing Sadie for a teenager. She was clearly an adult in a costume, and that was sure to attract attention. Weather good or bad, that remained to be seen. Nevertheless, her bubbly personality is infectious, and you find yourself smiling as you take her hand.

The two of you decide to walk to the fairgrounds, which are conveniently close, and Sadie skips along beside you, chattering the whole time about cotton candy and corn dogs and carousels. You barely get a word in, and yet you feel happy. There’s something about her personality that just exudes joy. You decide to relax and enjoy it.

You arrive at the fairgrounds and start wandering, Sadie insisting that you find some cotton candy. You see a few people watching you, because of course a beautiful blue woman in a schoolgirl outfit catches the eye. You are a bit surprised, however, that after watching her for a little bit, the majority smile and turn away. At one point, a little girl runs up and smiles at you two.

“You’re really pretty!” The girl exclaims.

Sadie laughs happily. “You’re a cutie yourself, little one!” And somehow, an impromptu dance between the two of them happens, inspired by the ever present music at the fair. Eventually, the girls parents collect her, and Sadie waves goodbye. The family waves back, and they leave with smiles on their faces.

You put your arm around Sadie’s waist. “You’re not a djinn, you’re a happiness elemental.”

Sadie giggles and gives you a kiss. “People should be happy! Especially here. It’s easy to spread joy if you’re happy yourself.” She looks at you. “And I have so many reasons for being happy now.”

Eventually, you find her some cotton candy. And a corn dog. And many other treats. At some point you spend way too much time at a carnival game to win her a stuffed animal, a bear, of course. The day wears on into evening, and as it gets dark, the fair lights up. Sadie looks around, admiring the lights, then grabs your hand and leads you off.

“It’s time, come on!”

You don’t bother to protest. You just follow her as she leads you to the ferris wheel. The two of you climb aboard and the wheel begins its slow ascent. Sadie snuggles against you, and speaks in a surprisingly serious tone.

“Thank you Josh. Thank you for taking me in. I know I don’t have a tragic backstory, and you never rescued me. I wasn’t redeemed, or abandoned, or anything like that. I haven’t even been here that long. But right here, with you, I’m happier than I ever thought possible. I love you, Josh, and I’m so grateful that you’re here with me.”

You hug her tighter, and say the only thing you can to such a speech.

“I love you too, Sadie.”
