Eventful morning

You wake the next morning, and as usual after a night with Lynn, there’s a naked goblin laying on your chest. Gently brushing aside her hair, you kiss her forehead and whisper in her ear. “Time to get up, sleeping beauty.”

“No.”

You chuckle, and slide her off your chest. Lynn clings to you, and pouts when you slip away. You get dressed, and Lynn cuddles with your pillow in your absence.

Making your way to breakfast, your phone rings. It’s the construction company, asking if they can bring a couple trainees to the first day of work at your house. You agree, as long as the work gets done.

You sit down for breakfast, and are surprised that the early riser group of Anna and Elys is joined by an excited Sadie.

“Josh! Joshie! Daddy! It’s date day! We’re gonna have so much fun today! I even got a special outfit, I bet you’ll love it!”

Anna and Elys grin at you. Anna says, “She’s a little excited, master. I hope you got enough sleep, you’ll need it.”

You laugh, smiling. “Well, Lynn was...exceptionally needy last night, but I always have energy for my girls.”

Sadie grins, bouncing in her seat. Her blue eyes sparkle with excitement. “Don’t worry, Josh, we are going to have a great time! We’re going to the fair, it’ll be like we’re teenagers again! Doesn’t that sound fun?”

“Honestly? It does, and it sounds like exactly the sort of thing you’ll enjoy, Sadie.”

Sadie nods, and is about to start talking again when your phone rings again. This time it’s Rachel.

“Hey Josh, I hope I’m not interrupting anything.”

“Not at all, just sitting down for breakfast, and Sadie is telling me what we are doing for her date.”

“Wonderful. I’m calling because Trevor wanted to meet up with you, to talk about Kali and the portal. Can you come by tomorrow? And bring Kali as well?

“Of course. I will bring her too, but please don’t do anything to upset her, she’s just starting to feel comfortable here.”

“We just want to understand what happened is all. Well, and we are curious about the growth of your powers. Nothing bad, I promise.”

“Ok then. We will be there tomorrow.”

With that, you hang up. Turning to Sadie, you smile.
