”Can I go first?” Madeline said all cheery as she bent her self back a bit to look down on him with a glowing smile.

”I… Oh, its about that surprise you texted about earlier?” Fredrics line of thought got disarmed by the smile, he didn’t really wish to ruin her mood with the bad news.

“Not exactly, first is another thing I thought about asking this week.” She looked around them to see where she threw the clothes.

Madeline found Fredrics pants on the couch armrest and stretched herself to it without leaving his lap, it took her a bit as she awkwardly fiddled with his pockets to get his phone out, refusing to make it simpler by removing herself.

“You… You can make this easier you know.” Fredric could not help to say as she was huffing and puffing with her breath on the sofa due to the weird angle.

“So, what are you thinking? Something with the app I am guessing.” Fredric said, with a brow raised.

“Yeeah, so I have been thinking. The change I had was great and all, but it didn’t change that much and it was slow. Plus I have to endure everything that pregnancy brings, while I don’t mind it all that much I do not miss the morning sickness, I do not wish to have to get new clothes every now and then as I slowly change and it would raise questions if I come to work pregnant more than once while not getting any children.” She said quickly, as if she had rehearsed it. “So I was thinking there might be something on this thing that can speed it up?”

“But you don’t have to change, we have been over this.” Fredric tried while looking into her eyes while gently stroking her cheek with his hand.

“While I do think you are adorable to say that, it is not about what you want, it is about what I want! I have long had my own internal struggles about it, but now when change is easy I wish to try it.” She said plainly, shrugging at the last words.

“But why go around it changing the pace of things while you can just ask me to change something and I can maybe find something to do that” Fredric wondered, thinking his way was far simpler.

“Well, I kinda liked the feeling of being pregnant, you know bar the first half, never got far into the later parts but those were kinda nice. So I would like to try more on my terms and shorter would be nice, like, I could take a month or two off from work or something. Plus I don’t know how much change I’d like or how many of those gems change would be one by one. “ She continued with a similar pace as her first suggestion, she had thought of this and laid out all her reasons in a previous mental debate.

Fredric was a bit stumped, he wanted to tell her no, that this was a bad idea. But he could not think too clearly on it with the sudden physical exertion and problems on his mind.

“Fine, but I can’t promise there will be anything exactly like you want it.” He concluded and yoinked the phone out of her hand.

He started fiddling with the phone pushed against her, trying to find a way to filter the changes, but ultimately it came down to two choices either something that applied to her or him and could be payed with his total.
