The stressful days

Fredric spent the better half of the week selling all the assets he could in preparation, everything that before had given him a modest income over time was now being sold at the market value. For better or for worse, but it was the only way to acquire enough for his fee.

The latter was spending his time online trying to find ways to sell off his newly found ‘wealth’, it was not until late on the Thursday he thought he found some one who could maybe help the problem was simply the how on to contact them.

He rose on the Friday morning nervous, he needed to make contact with known criminals who might help him, they certainly had a price to the services he was hoping for, but maybe they would be cheaper than losing everything.

As Fredric was droning in the shower letting the warm water wash over him and his thoughts he realized that whatever fee it was he could not pay it of as of yesterday.

Not only that, how would he know the other known criminals would not screw him over too?

Maybe selling was the idea, but never paying the people demanding it, maybe taking the gains and running was the call. Either way waiting a bit more would not change much now.

He went out and dressed a bit wrinkled and red from the too hot and too long shower.

Taking a seat at his computer with renewed vigor and a bit of hope, the nervous dread still fluttering in his stomach as if he was staring down from a great hight.

Looking for ways to escape was far easier, but he needed ways to get false identities once he bounced off the first country. The hours went but once he saw a travel deal for couples he halted.

Of course Madeline, he sighed, he needed to talk to her of the trouble he was into. Best for her would be to avoid him for the time being to not suffer the consequences of his actions.

Fredric rose from the computer and went to slouch on the sofa in the living room, thinking of ways to broach the subject as Madeline would come soon.
