"You can go up ahead Dakota." You say to him while still looking at James. You hear him give out a noise of frustration. "Whatever Alex, just don't come back as a vampire." He says while walking away.

James hears this and looks at you. "So your name is Alex. Also, I'm not a vampire." He says while chuckling at the last part. "So... You think I'm cute?" You say asking him.

"Honestly It was towards everyone." He says, making you feel disappointed. "But you catch my attention." He says as he steps closer to you. You blush as you notice the proximity. Before you can say anything more. Someone interrupts you. "Hey! Names Veronica if you haven't heard. Future prom queen." She says as she clings onto James's arm.

She then looks at you and then back to James like you aren't even there. "So... James where are you from?" She says. James weirded out by this response. "I was kind of talking to someone here..." He says looking at you.

"Oh sorry, I didn't notice you there Alex." She says forcing a friendly smile. "Don't you have classes to go to?" She says with a strained friendly tone.
