Addressing Finn's Mission

After sleeping with Adeline again, Finn forgot about what happened yesterday for a moment, he just thought it was a bad dream, since he woke up exactly like yesterday. But as he wanted to do the exact same thing he did yesterday, he talked with Adeline for a bit, and quickly left his house, to find most of his friends already outside, and looking more worried than usual. It was then when Finn realized the monster girls weren't part of a dream, and that they were still actually on the island.

Faranne didn't even prepare breakfast for her friends this morning, as she only wanted to discuss the idea of Finn leaving the island with the monster girls. So after she gathered all of the friends at the park, Faranne waited for Haze, Tsuri, and {Eris} to show up, after she sent Lilith to call them over. At the table were now Itzel, Zoey, Finn, Adeline, Katsumi, and Sayuri, who were all very nervous while waiting, specially the three latter, since they did not know anything about what was going on. But as Lilith appeared, with the three monster girls following behind, the android, and the fox sisters started to panic, since they thought they were going to die.

"Good morning everyone, what did you call us here for?... Are we going to talk about Finn?" - Haze greeted the village friends at the table, who just awkwardly stared at her, without saying anything back. But to respond to the dragon girl's question, Faranne invited her to join them at the table, and after the monster girls walked closer to them, they took a seat, or at least tried to in the small remaining space there was. And now that the Haze, Tsuri, and Erys had joined the rest of the population of this island, they were now able to talk, but not before murmuring a bit about the monster girls.

"Who are they??" - Adeline asked quietly to Finn and Zoey, who were sitting right next to her, and didn't really know how to respond, since it still wasn't clear who these monster girls were. Katsumi and her sister were terrified to see the sharkgirl sit next to them, but also Adeline seemed very nervous to only see the monster girls, she was particularly scared of the dragon girl, who seemed very menacing to her

"They say they came here for Finn, because he needs to become a hero or something..." - Zoey replied to Adeline, trying not to pay too much attention to the slime girl, who suddenly started giving an lustful stare to Finn, that made him very nervous. Adeline didn't get her question answered though, so she continued being suspicious of the monster girls, specially Haze. But after hearing so much murmuring from all of her friends, and hearing what Zoey said, Faranne decided to start the conversation properly, by making a very simple question to the monster girls.

"Yes, and speaking of which, could you explain that to us again?" - Faranne responded to Zoey, while also making a question to Haze, who wasn't too enthusiastic to talk much. But since her goal was getting Finn to accept his mission, Haze decided to explain everything again, now that there were new faces, who seemed to fear her from just her appearance, which could make it difficult for them to understand.

"I thought you already understood, but sure... basically, we are recruiting young people to come train with us to fight for the Elven Kingdom during a warrior program created by their queen... Finn's mission is exactly that, would have to move to our city to start his training, he would have to complete various courses, compete with other fighters, and even fight a few battles to win his spot in the team of heroes they will form at the end of the program… After that he would have to begin with his journey to complete his ultimate goal, that until we don't confirm if you are willing to accept, we can't tell you what it is..." - Haze explained, and everyone understood pretty much everything, even though they were still scared of the monster girls, like Lilith being very afraid of Tsuri, Adeline remaining to be suspicious of Haze, or Zoey starting to get jealous of Erys, who couldn't keep her eyes off her boyfriend, and even Faranne, who just couldn't trust any of the monster girls.

But while everyone interacted with one another in their own way, Finn was the one who really had to think, since this was all about him. And even when there was a lot of information thrown at him, he was still able to understand most of what Haze was saying, although he did have a lot of questions, that mainly involved him having so much responsibility in his mission.

"Okay... but, why me?? Why do you need me to travel to be a part of a training program?? Am I that important??" - Finn asked, with both curiosity, and fear of being given such a huge role in this mission, or at least that's how Haze made it seem. But since in reality, Finn was just exaggerating all of this, and Haze was going to let him know why.

"No, I don't think you are... you are supposed to be one more of the hundreds of recruits, so we could easily replace you... But our goddess thinks you have something special, and since we can't disobey her, we have to stay in this island until you accept to come with us..." - Haze replied, showing a bit of disdain, but still responding to Finn's questions very clearly. He now felt less worried, since he believed he had the choice to be a part of the training program or not, and he was quite interested in the idea of being a hero. But before Finn could say a word, Faranne stepped in, and as she was very skeptical of Haze, she became the one to make the questions.

"I don't believe you... Who did you say sent you??" - Faranne asked with her aggressive nature, that made most people talk, by just getting them nervous. But since she was speaking to the dragon girl, Faranne's approach didn't work quite like she expected, and even though Haze didn't want to tell much about her, she did try to tell the truth.

"Wrath, the goddess of war, our leader... We are serving her to protect our lands from the imminent threat that is The Crimson Empire... and if you know her, then you realize that we are not allowed to give her a no for an answer, so we can't disappoint her... And if we bring Finn with us as soon as possible we'll be able to please her..." - Haze responded calmly, to stop everyone from being skeptical of her, and even though she accomplished that, Faranne still gave her a couple of suspicious stares. But since Finn did actually trust the dragon girl, he started thinking of the possibilities he had in this situation, although he wasn't sure what to do, he was at least aware of everything.

"Okay, I get it... I think I understand now, but... I don't know, it still need some time to think about it..." - Finn said, slightly distracted, as he began thinking right away, which Faranne saw as him getting overwhelmed, and immediately tried to comfort him, like her nurturing self is used to doing.

"It’s okay Finn, don't worry too much, we still got plenty of time, right?" - Faranne asked with a sweet voice, without being able to reach Finn for a hug, but showing how she was a bit upset by Haze's response, as she felt like she was trying to manipulate Finn to sign up for the training program. But while Erys would be more likely to seduce Finn into agreeing with them, Faranne still tried to blame Haze for it, and to confront her, she was going to make even more questions.

"Now, here's what I understood, and tell me if I'm wrong but... You mean to tell me that Finn has to leave his home, follow a group of monster girls, that will take him to a training program, where he will have to compete with other young men like him, and fight for a queen he doesn't even know??... I get that you are not allowed to disobey your goddess, but that just doesn't make sense to me..." - Faranne asked, with a passive aggressive tone, that she hoped would make Haze nervous, and tell the whole truth, but instead it only showed the dragon girl's surprisingly innocent intentions.

"Yes, I know... but that's what she ordered us to do, and we can't tell you more for a multitude of reasons... But in the training program there will be girls too, so at least Finn could find a girlfriend there..." - Haze replied calmly, but also getting a bit playful, to calm down everyone who was skeptical of her, which worked with most, except Zoey, who got a bit angry at her joke, and Faranne, who still couldn't believe that the dragon girl was telling the truth.

Faranne was particularly annoyed by how Haze was seemingly being honest, or at least being as convincing as possible to portray a sincere attitude. There was no way to tell if the dragon girl was telling the truth or not though, so Faranne didn't know if they were being manipulated, or if Haze was just doing her job, without any malicious intentions. It was hard to believe the dragon girl would be so innocent, but even though Faranne thought Haze was deceiving everyone, it didn't matter much, since Finn believed her, and that's all that really mattered.

"Okay, yea... I think I will need to think about it more, but I definitely think I could train to be a hero... is just the part of leaving home that worries me... I'll consider the offer, but thanks for explaining..." - Finn said, slightly anxious, after coming to some sort of conclusion, that didn't solve his problem, but made him feel much more comfortable. And since almost everyone understood what Finn had to do, no one said anything, even when his friends wouldn't like to see him go. Even Faranne calmed down a little, and didn't make any questions, but before they could finish their conversation, Adeline needed more answers.

"Wait! No, they need to explain more!!" - Adeline exclaimed, as she wasn't satisfied by all of Haze's response. She was still suspicious of the dragon girl, but that made her seem weird in the eyes of everyone at the table. But even though it seemed like there wasn't anything more to explain, Haze still had some patience, and tried being flexible.

"Sure, we are open to receive some questions, what do you need to know?" - Haze replied, with a forced friendly smile, after seeing how determined Adeline was to make more questions. And while Haze thought the android girl couldn't possibly ask anything that she couldn't answer, she listened closely to her, without expecting her to ask such complicated questions.
