Chapter 6 by JAJ JAJ

What is the experiment about?

Adjusting to a new situation

"Okay, what is my special project about?"

Mr. Brown explains: "Your project is, to study how the behavior of a person changes, once they're treated differently. Because there is this theory, that if a person is treated like anything long enough, they'll act like the thing they are treated as."

She nodded: "So, who will be treated differently? And like what will they be treated?"

"Of course you'll be treated differently. It's your project after all. And to come to the how: You'll be treated like a dog."

Amy was stunned for a few seconds: "Like ... Like a dog? What do you mean, like a dog?"

He cleared his throat a bit embarrassed himself: "Well, you'll be treated like a dog. I mean, you won't be allowed to talk and will have to crawl on your hands and knees." After an akward silence he continued: "You don't have to do it. It's your choice." With that being said, he left her standing there, while returning to the front of the class to start.

"I'll do it!", she practically shouted.

He turned to her surprised: "Oh, then you just need to sign this." Amy signed the contract, which only explained her project and that Amy was to be treated like a dog. It also stated that she had no grounds to sue because of anything happening to her as a part of this experiment. Only afterwards Amy realised that it was suspicious that the contract allready had been ready to sign when Mr. Brown just thought about this new experiment.

After explaining the project to the rest of the class, she dropped down to her knees. One student raised his hand: "How are we supposed to treat her like a dog, if she doesn't look like one? I mean dogs don't wear clothes."

How does Amy react?
