Kim makes more clones

“Hey Kimmy, time to wake up.” The original Kim sat on the bed and gently nudged her doppelganger. She yawned and stretched. “Had a good sleep?”

“Of course… I am a great cuddler.”

“Hehe, thanks. And I smell great too.”

“Thanks! I don’t know what Harako complains about.”

“I know right? It’s a privilege to sleep on the same bed with us! Who’s she to talk with those icy feet and that annoying hair that gets everywhere?”

Both Kims shared a short laugh. “Anyway …time to get to work.”

“So, today is my turn to relax while you go to work? After yesterday's marathon, I could use a break.”

This time, only the original Kim laughed. “No, here’s your itinerary.” She handed a sheet of paper to her clone.

“What?! This is so unfair! Come on, I know I’m better than this!” The clone took a look at the list and angrily crumbled it. “And this is way too much! What the hell?”

“The more we work, the faster we pay off our debt, so I picked up a couple of extra errands.”

“This is more than a couple of errands! There is no way a single person can do all this!”

“Hmm, you might have a point. Luckily, I have the solution.”

“…and you’ll be Delta,” Kim said while drawing a δ on the palm of her fourth clone.

“Thanks,” Delta replied with a smile. Unlike Alpha, the first clone, the second batch seemed a lot less bright and a lot more pliable. The three new girls were standing in line with their eyes glued on the original. Alpha was sitting cross-legged on the bed and frowning.

“Alright, you all have your tasks. Remember to be polite, always smile, and follow your boss’s instructions.” Kim commanded her line of soldiers. “Delta, as soon as you are done, get back to me. I have a special job for you,” the original winked at the last clone.

“No.” Alpha Kim put herself between the clones and the door. “I won’t stand by this injustice. I’m not moving until you pick a task for you as well.”

Kim shrugged. “I mean, I can just order you to move, but fine. You are right, I’ll pick out the worst task so that you girls don’t have to. I’ll go dream testing.”

The other Kims gasped. “So brave.”

“That’s why she’s the original.”

“Wow, I didn’t expect that,” admitted Alpha. “I feel pretty bad about all the things I was about to call you.”

“Don’t sweat it,” said Kim. “I know you would have done the same thing. Now, let’s get to work.”
