Her Daughter Saved

You look at the councilor, amused by her finding her spine. Her dark hair is pulled into a businesslike bun, grey streaks throughout showing her age, her similarly dark eyes glare at you with newly found determination.

"Let me guess, age getting you down? Or was this a desperate power grab?"

"You don't know me!" You're amused at her continued determination.

"Well once the city is in our hands we'll see whatever your desire is delivered to you."

"That wasn't our deal! She might not last that long!" You lean into her face with a grin, she turns away as you do.

"'She'?"

"My daughter...she's dying. All the doctors say they can't help her, all they can do is make her comfortable. But then your boss showed up, said she could help. She did something and my daughter's condition improved for the first time in so long...she said she could cure her entirely if I helped." You can see tears in her eyes as she speaks. "Well I did your dirty work, you monsters have what you wanted. Now I get what I want if you want me to keep helping!"

You stand back with a laugh.

"Very well, that can be arranged. By the end of the night your daughter will be cured." You turn to Jenny's daughter. "Well I'll leave you in charge...?"

"Petra." It's unreasonable for her to expect you to know her name yet her icy tone suggests she was expecting it anyways.

"Petra. Good luck." You put the meeting room and soon the city hall itself behind you, wondering how you'll find the councilor's daughter.
