A Special Wife

The warm, post-fucking glow that surrounds us abruptly fades when Sofia glances towards the entryway of the studio.

“What if the bodyguard had come back?” she says, suddenly looking horrified.

“She locked the door on the way out,” I say. “I was paying attention.”

“But she’s taking her royal time in the bathroom,” Scarlet says. “You didn’t… arrange for her to leave, did you, Claude?”

“I might have made some preparations in advance,” I say, keeping a mysterious smile on my lips. “You never know what might happen in situations like this.”

“So when is she coming back?” Tiffany asks, leaning shoulder-to-shoulder against Sofia.

“Could be five minutes, could be five hours,” I shrug. “I have no idea.”

Scarlet shoots me a look that I dismiss with a wave of my hand.

“I think I saw a bathroom in the back,” I say. “So we can take turns getting ourselves presentable, and then wrap up Sofia’s part of the shoot.”

“I forgot I still had to do that,” Sofia says, covering her mouth with her hand.

“Don’t tell us that you’re going to be shy in front of the camera now,” Tiffany laughs, and Sofia shakes her head, laughing too.

“I’ll pop into the bathroom first,” Scarlet says, gingerly getting up. “I’ve still got this um… cum in my pussy to clean up.”

“What a strange family this is,” Sofia quietly laughs, watching Scarlet walk to the bathroom.

“They’re not what I expected either,” I agree.

We pause, staring at each other. I can tell that something’s bothering Sofia.

“What’s on your mind?” I ask her.

She stays quiet for a moment longer, doubtlessly turning something important over her mind.

“I thought I could change Warren, when I first met him,” Sofia says slowly, hugging the tops of her knees, her breasts nestled behind them. “We met at one of those dinner parties, and he was so charming, so elegant… and of course, I had heard his reputation.”

“It would be hard not to,” Tiffany smiles.

Sofia nods. “And he was hard to others at the party too, I knew. I noticed. But when he was with me… it was like he listened to me. He softened up. And when I suggested that he should apologise to one of those guys he was pushing around, I mean, I was mostly just saying because it seemed like the right thing to do, but I didn’t think he was actually going to do it!”

“I bet that shocked the hell out of everyone at the party,” I say.

“It did! Nobody could figure out Warren’s sudden change in attitude. Well, nobody but me, of course,” Sofia said. “Of course, it happened again the next time we met, and the time after that. He kept making small changes to himself, my little suggestions seeming to stick with him. I thought I could make him better.”

She sighs, looking at Tiffany and I, both still nude.

“How’d it turn out?” Tiffany asks, though everyone knows the answer by this point.

“He was nothing like that, once we got married,” Sofia says. “You know, he used to actually listen to me when I told him about all the plans I had, the things that I’d like to get done. He told me he could make big things happen. But after all this time, he’s done absolutely nothing. All the money in the world, and he can never find the time to help me with my projects.”

“That’s the way it is with Father,” Scarlet says, coming out of the bathroom and starting to change back into her clothes. “Don’t even bother, if you can’t figure out how your plans help him.”

“It’s a lesson we all had to learn the hard way,” Tiffany says.

She gets up, going to clean herself up in the bathroom.

“Some of us more so than others,” I say, putting a hand on Sofia’s shoulder. “But hey, you’ve always got us to count on.”

“Yeah,” Sofia nods, a great weight seeming to come off of her.

She looks at Scarlet and me, seeming to turn over something in her head. I can sympathise with what Sofia must be going through. She feels betrayed by Father, thinking that he’d bring something different to the relationship than what he actually did. It’s what made her so willing to fall into our debauchery. It’s what I’m going to use to bring her firmly to my side.

“You stick to your guns, to your values,” I say, breaking the silence. “I think that makes you special, among Father’s wives.”

“Well, I don’t know about that…” Sofia starts to say.

“But don’t you?” I ask. “When has Hyerim not ever taken Warren Najbreit’s side?”

“She agrees with him, but she influences him, too,” Sofia says.

“For her own ends,” I counter. “Never for something better.”

“Okay, maybe not Hyerim,” Sofia says. “But Salome…”

“My mom is whipped by Father and Hyerim,” Scarlet says. “She’ll do anything that they say. Maybe things were different before she married Father. But these days… I’m surprised if she so much as coughs without their permission.”

My mind flits to my flings with Salome. Was there a way that this was all in Father’s plan? I don’t know what dark thoughts swirl around in his head.

“But he had another wife before, Linda,” Sofia says. “Wasn’t she her own woman?”

Scarlet looks at me. I shrug.

“She’s passed away. That doesn’t count,” I say, trying to sound neutral.

“Fine, I guess you’re right,” Sofia relents. “Maybe everything really is hopeless.”

“Not while you’ve got us,” Scarlet reminds her. “We’ll stand up for you.”

“We’ve got plans,” I say. “A way to win back what we deserve.”

“We?” Sofia asks, staring at me, confused.

“Well, maybe I don’t deserve as much as the rest of you, but I wouldn’t turn down a small share of the spoils,” I laugh.

I’m testing the waters, seeing where Sofia lies. I don’t know if I should trust her with the truth yet.

“Oh,” Sofia says. “That’s what you meant.”

She gives me a searching look that I return with a casual smile. Tiffany comes out of the bathroom a moment later.

“Your turn, Sofia,” she says cheerily, and Sofia goes to clean herself up too.

“So?” she asks quietly, once Sofia’s shut the door with a dull thud. “What do you think about her?”

“I like her,” Scarlet says. “She seems like a good person. Genuine. Not likely to secretly be in Father’s pocket.”

“I agree,” I reply. “But we have a way to make sure. Let me check the AMA.”
