Chapter 4 by Sixth Sixth

What does Aaralon decide?

Keep the secret

"Alright," Aaralon said slowly, "This can be our secret. Yerther - you owe me hugely for this. Understood?"

Aaralon wasn't sure this was the right decision. Either one of tonight's encounters could come back to haunt him.

"Let's just get some sleep, okay?" Aaralon was keen to move on and bring an end to the night just in case anything else happened.

"Okay," sniffed Yerther has he settled down.

Aaralon stripped and climbed into bed. He was exhausted. He had pushed his magical stamina to the limit and was feeling the effects.

Was there a connection between Memp being in the room and the Tar'oth summoning. Memp was a horror story they told to new students. According to the story the feline wizard had been banished from the College over hundred years ago. He had always assumed stories of Memp creeping back in to visit students who failed to follow the rules where nothing more than myths.

Had Memp meant to find Aaralon? The young high mage shivered uncomfortably at the thought.

Sleep was kind and gentle when it came.

In the morning Aaralon let Yerther sleep in. He dressed himself silently and trotted down to the hall for breakfast.

Grabbing a plate of food he sat down next to the familiar face of his study mate. "What's up?"

Any news?
