A quick note on delays

Hey gang.

So... this story has kinda been my sole focus for writing for a little over a year now. Jimmy’s story has sort of consumed me, driving out all the other brain vomit. And it’s been a GOOD focus. I thoroughly enjoy all of Jimmy’s antics, and the shit he pulls even still surprises me. He and the girls are very real to me, and what they do still comes as fresh and new.

I want to keep it that way.

Which brings me to the point of all of this. I need to be able to give this story everything if I ever want to finish it. And there’s a minor difficulty with that right now. I’ve had another project on the back burner since I started this. It’s about halfway finished, and I think the time has come to knock out the other half so it can quit rattling around my brain, and let me hear Jimmy’s voice easier. To that end I’m going to put my branch here on hold so I can actually get it finished.

I’ll be spending the next little while putting the finishing touches on I Put A Spell On You linked here. It’s a very personal piece, and is written in my own voice as opposed to Jimmy’s psychopathic ramblings. I can see the end of it now, where I couldn’t before.

Now I want to assure the lot of you that I have no plans to fuck off completely and leave Jimmy in bed with Jan for all of eternity ( or even until 2021). I’ll be keeping up with my editorial duties here as well. I just probably won’t be publishing unless some grandiose idea that must be written pops into my head. I’m pretty sure it’ll keep though. It’s taken a year to advance Jimmy’s story 12 fucking days and I haven’t even scratched the surface on the main conflict yet (which is going to happen within the next 30 days of Jimmy’s continuity).
