Max was startled by the sound. Before he could even respond the door to his bedroom swung open. In walked a girl he had never seen before... well actually. Max could have sworn this girl looked like his cousin Jenny, but of course it couldn't be her. This girl was Asian and Jenny was white.

Unless... Max remembered the machine in his hands and looked down at it in awe. He wondered... had it really granted his wish? This girl who just entered his room surer was hot. She sure was Asian. And she sure looked like Jenny.

The girl audibly groaned in frustration.

"God Max.... why are you so freaking lazy? I know it's a school holiday, but do you have to sleep in until noon? You know you were supposed to go help my Mom run errands, but I guess you forgot about that didn't you."

Max looked at the girl in confusion. Noon? Her mom? errands? What did this all mean? The only thing Max was starting to become sure of was he was pretty sure this girl was indeed his cousin Jenny. The way she spoke all but confirmed it.

Jenny rolled her eyes and started texting on her phone. "Anyways, Mom said to wake you up so that you can help her unload the groceries when she gets back. It's the least you can do, since, ya know, we've been so gracious letting you, your sisters, and your mom stay in our house all this time."

She finally glanced up from her phone and spotted the machine-like device in his lap.

"What's that Maxxie? Did you buy another one of your nerdy cosplay things? What a dork! Such a waste of money!"

Jenny laughed, gave Max a shit-eating grin and stormed out of his room in a huff.

When she was some ways down the hall she called back to Max. "Me and the girls whipped up some pancakes...better get your butt down to the kitchen if you want any."

Max's stomach grumbled at that. Pancakes sure sounded good to him. Plus he wanted to see what the rest of his cousins looked like know. He got up and threw on some clothes as he started to wander out of his room. Just as he was about to exit he glanced back at his bed and looked at the box. He went back for it, grabbed it and made his way downstairs.
