A few weeks pass by after that mortifying incident. Nobody at work hears about the teleporter or its malfunction. Ming Zhao decides to keep it secret a while longer to work out the bugs. Natalie mercifully does not tell anyone about our naked escapade. As far as we know, she is the only co-worker that had seen us streak through the building.
Ming Zhao and I grow closer after the incident. She takes me up on my offer for a date the next night. And then the weekend after that. Over time, we become an item and the whole office is calling her my girlfriend. Every guy is jealous that I managed to win the hottest and smartest girl in the company.
To my surprise, she bursts into the lab to show me her new invention. It's a small blue circular device that she can hold in the palm of her hand.
"I did it! I worked out all the bugs!" She says excitedly.
"You mean, it's ready?" I ask. "The teleporter works?!"
"Yes, it does! I upgraded it range, programmed it to teleport multiple people at once, and gave it a return feature so we can teleport back home whenever we want!"
"That's amazing!" I say.
Ming Zhao wraps her arm around me and presses a few buttons on the device. "Coordinates are locked in. Ready to test this sucker again?"
"As I'll ever be," I say, still embarrassed from the last time.
Ming Zhao pulls me into a kiss and presses a button as we both close our eyes. I feel the air around me change and my skin suddenly feels cool against the air. I can also feel Ming Zhao's bare breasts against my chest.
We pull back and realize that the teleporter has, once again, transported us without our clothes. Ming Zhao turns red with embarrassment, more from the repeated failure than the sudden nudity.
"Um, maybe that glitch was more pervasive than I thought," she says as we look around to see where we are.
