Mom's decision

A few hours later Cole saw his dad come down stairs. "D'Shawna my wife is home and in her study if you are ready."

D'Shawna stood up and Cole gave her a hug.

"Hey don't worry babe, I'll charm her no prob."

She then went upstairs with Madison following behind. Cole waited nervously as his Dad came down and sat down next to him.

"Don't worry hun." His Dad put a hand on his knee. "Your mother might be strict but she is fair. She just wants the best for you. You're her delicate little flower and she doesn't want you to be hurt."

"I get that daddy but I am growing up and I want to experience things a normal teen boy experiences."

"I know sweetie and I know D'Shawna is a good girl and so does your mom. The fact that she wants to ask your mom's permission is a good sign. I also talked to your mother a bit and I think she will be willing to let you go."

"Really Daddy, thank you so much."

"Don't thank me too soon, your Mother still wants to talk to the young lady in her own words."

Cole and his Dad made their way upstairs to wait in the kitchen. Cole tried to help his dad with dinner but spent most of the time pacing back and forth rather then peeling carrots. After what seemed like forever Madison came out of the study and told Cole that mom wanted to talk with him, Cole took a deep breath and entered his Mom's home office. He gave D'Shawna a weak smile as he passed her on the couch in the living room hoping to get some idea what his Mom said. D'Shawna smiled back but gave no hints on what happened with Mom. Cole knocked on the office door.

"Come in honey." his Mom said.

Cole took a deep breath then entered. He rarely came into this room it was his Mom's personal space so she could work from home when needed. The room was dominated by a large dark wood desk with bookcases against one wall and a case with Mom's high school and college sports trophies in a case pictures of his parents and of Cole and Madison through the years were peppered throughout the room. His mom got up and gave him a hug and a peck on the cheek then gave him a look up and down.

"You are so grown up what happened to my cute little boy in his rompers and maryjanes. I should have realized soon that the girls would come a knocking. Maybe I should find a older woman to teach you about adult things except that I saw what that did to your father during college after your grandmother did the same things. For a while he was a stereotypical frat partyboy who would sleep with any girl who would have him trying to feel something. I had to tame him and make him the doting husband and father he is now. I have seen the darker side of the traditional upbringing of boys can bring. In many ways it's a way for women to trade young men for their pleasure and don't think of the boys feelings. I care for you deeply Cole so do you want to go out with that young woman."
"Yes Mommy thank you." Cole gave his mom a huge hug.

"I love you honey and I was impressed that young woman came and talked to me that showed good moral character. Now send her in darling I need to be the tough mother to make sure she doesn't take advantage of my innocent angel,"

Cole chuckled and left telling D'Shawna that his mother wanted to talk to her again. As he went back to the kitchen he saw Madison on the phone. "yea babe of course we should go out. You are my husband, right boy."

Cole shook his head at Madison already putting the moves on Allie. He would be upset if he didn't know that Allie wanted it even more the Madison did. Entering the kitchen he looked at his dad in a new light. He didn't realize that his grandma used his father to help her own career and maybe her own perverse needs. He felt a new love for his mother for seeing past that lifestyle even if it would probably help her with clients.
