Gamer's 6th anniversary announcement

Hi dear readers

6 years ago while bored out of my mind I started a little story between two other projects. It was a goofy idea of a more lewd version of a manhwa I was reading at the time where the mc was oblivious to the cute girls around him. I intended to work on it for a few weeks before starting a big game mode story project I had.

But of course it lasted for a little bit more and something surprised me, someone asked to participate, soon joined by a few others and then many others. Temptation was high to just say fuck it, set it as public and let it and let it become some sort of tentacular abomination with 500 second chapters and an average depth of 3 or 4, if even that. Instead I chose to work with the other authors, vet new applicants and create a whole infrastructure to handle the thing.

Then at some point I kinda burned out, I had recently changed jobs for one with a lot more responsibilities and it left me mentally drained more often than not, chapters became rarer until the point where I just couldn't write. I spent entire evenings looking at an empty Google doc, the words just didn't come out like they usually did. Next came covid, the "I've been stuck at home for months with nothing to do" experience many lived through might have let me start writing again, but the work I do means that I worked during the whole covid period, often more hours than usual due to short staffing.

And then I caught the damn thing, getting a trip to the hospital and almost dying. It took me a while to recover, still haven't completely, work is still insane.

Now for the good news, you might have noticed me posting a bunch of stuff on another story this month, it was me kicking my own butt and forcing myself to write until it became natural again and it worked.

I finally overcame the huge writer's block I had on the chapter I had stopped on. Something just clicked in my brain and even though it took a bit of time to research my years old notes and chapters to catch up, I managed to start writing for this story again.

I'm happy to announce that this chapter is now written and will be published just after this announcement. I don't want to promise an exact schedule but I'll try to get a new one out every 1 to 1.5 weeks from now on and refrain myself from publishing any extra chapters so that I can build a buffer and maintain the rhythm longer.
